    HAL rotary wing division is far more successful than its fixed wing division. ALH Dhruv and Rudra are shining examples of HAL success in rotary wing department with 300 and 70 helicopters produced respectively till date.

    So a production rate of 25 helos/year. Thats lesser than the production rate of 30 LUH/year for what is merely kit assembling and also occupying one of HAL's assembly line at Tumkur which could have been better utlilized to increase LUH production rate to 60 LUH/year.
