In that case, Navy should opt for Netra Mk2 and mount it onto some used Boeing 777.

Most sensible decision. On one side, you do not have adequate surface and sub-surface combatants and on the other want to build a $13 billion novelty item.

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

Yeah, I think the all-up cost of INS Vikramaditya is around $5-6 billion while that of INS Vikrant is $7 billion. A 3rd 65,000ton AC should cost around $10-12 billion.

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

An indigenously designed INS Vishal is anyway going to cost in the ballpark of $5-7 billion

That is why I am betting on the CATOBAR Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carrier.

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

Probably the best option in this scenario is to go for the CATOBAR version of the Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carrier. The Brits have built 2 STOVL carriers for $4 billion,I think that CATOBAR version would cost $5 billion at best. Otheriwse, the option of building a IAC-1 copy is always there.

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

Ski jumps are a thing of the past now, deck based fighters cannot operate efficiently because of them, need flat tops, whatever be the tonnage.

So a total of how many SSN and SSBN is the Navy looking to operate?? How many SSBN of the S-5 class are going to be built?

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

Yes, we will be operating 4 SSBNs by 2022, so SSN are badly needed.

INS Vishal (IAC- II) Aircraft Carrier - Flattop or Ski Jump

I feel the best bet for the Navy's 3rd aircraft carrier is the HMS Queen Elizabeth class design with a CATOBAR config.
