What a way to start the year with such a great success... every bit of it deserving for the ISRO team with the GSLV success.... after ending the year with LCA induction... two long drawn out projects of India.

The emotion visible on the otherwise stoic faces of the scientists says it all.... they are ecstatic!! Not even Mangalyaan brought this kind of all-round jubilation to the mission room.

While the focus is on the cryo stage, the satellite aboard is equally important and expensive too.. hope its placed safely on the orbit.

Maybe this time ISRO really launches .... they have been moving the vehicle up and down the launch pad rail for some time now. All the best.

Re: ISRO to launch GSLV-D5 in July I am primarily looking at the turn around time ... 15-18 months since first announcement!! And that would not have been possible unless we had all the basics ready. But we have been struggling with the cryogenic engine for decades..... isn't that indicative...

It's better to hold back the flight test unless every single component is made fault free.... Murphy's law keeps coming to mind every time I think of GSLV Mk2.... "Anything that can wrong, will go wrong." There is so much riding on this launch not just for ISRO, but for the entire country.
