A very wrong perception I'd say. RTA is a civilian project against C-295 which as of now is a complete defence project. For civilian purpose, we still need RTA. It would be replacing Dornier eventually as shown by an Air ambulance service provider.

This is not politics. This is called wastage of resource. Although competition is good and by the step of incursion, HAL could create some pressure on NAL to perform and stay relevant. But overall the competition is still not fair taking into account that HAL is getting support from ADA unlike NAL.

And HAL is trying to close it. I just don't understand why we have two different public entities? Second if NAL is concerned only about civilian transport, why HAL is forcing its way into it?

That's a pretty short take off for a prototype. Although the landing took a fair bit of landing strip, but never the less a perfect touchdown I would say. :)
