They are getting SCARs and MK48s. Maybe a few Sig 716i as well. I would say we have made progress but there is more that needs to be done. It is good that India is taking Special Forces seriously now.

Seems like it will have much tougher, standardized and frequent training runs. This combined with the new equipment we are seeing aka the MARCOS knee inserts, body armor and EXFIL helmets is indicative of SOF being used as Elite Strike Units than Shock Troops.
