    Some of the smiths actually have the capability to nickle plate, or otherwise metal plate, gun parts. It looks like OPs example is one of the plated versions, while yours with the drum looks painted.

    It's for sure a Darra gun. It's patterned on a krinkov but it's also part underfolder, which is kinda interesting. Just looking at the front end, it also looks like it isn't a Chinese AK since it has open sight hood and a slant brake. Pretty unique gun

    As far as I've heard, China doesn't officially sell guns to pak. So if they give them to militants it's almost certainly illegal

    Yeah I've seen some pictures of those! quite strange to see them in militant hands. One I saw was bright yellow I think. Not a good choice for hiding with if you're a terrorist

    Question for anyone who may have thoughts, how likely is it China is providing arms to militants in Kashmir? Either officially (Chinese Intelligence) or unofficially (some guy smuggling guns to make a quick lakh)
