Both are same.It was new propellant which pushed its range from 40 to 65 kms. Its just that different articles stress different things,one on success of the test and another on technology behind it.

Pinaka mark - 1 had range of max 40 kms which was increased to 65 in mark -2.Is it that tough to comprehend?

Care to read the article correctly. 65 Kms range is mentioned multiple times in the article.
