The 32 LRSAM is a bit less considering how many missiles other ships of comparable size carry. It would be good if 32 VL-SRSAMs could also be added to some of the IN ships that currently only have LRSAM. The Brahamos are perfectly adequate. They weight much more than most anti-ship missiles...

The only technology on the Type-26 that would be of interest is the propulsion. There would also be some quieting measures for ASW. But yes the Type-26 build time makes the Nilgiri class look good.

Would the UK be willing to let India join the program? So far they seem to be trying to export lower end type 31 or type 32 to non ally countries. Anyway it would probably be better and cheaper just to build more P-17As.
