I think the metallurgy part is covered by DRDO or even any IITs can do the job. The only place where Metallurgy comes in play is the Gun barrel,bolt, Trigger Mechanism and Gas Piston.

I guess this is the easiest part. The Lack of Civilian Firearm is partly responsible for this Design handicap that we are having. OFB is happy with copy pasting so they don't try anything new.

Say we want to incorporate this kind of design on our AR platforms. Is there a chance of getting copyrighted? How different does the design need to be so that one can't press charges of Plagarism. Tull body rail is the need of the hour.

Other than Para SF we should look to arm Ghataks with top tier equipment. Also look to raise more ghatak Platoon.
