that macho dog! boss of the floor! waiting for training-buddy to act as a spotter for him. generally the ab-rocker device is found gathering dust in some corner. good to see it in the 'mainstream' here. :p were you into wushu/kuoshu or some NE martial arts practice? i see wooden...

whoa! you forgot. while you were in the hospital or probably just out of it, i had told you. mine was long back. done 'n dusted. since then had some more activity-related injuries. have recently come out of a couple of fresh batch of 2017 of those (shoulder & lower back). :p P.S. - am a sweat...

haha! no man. to represent me, the lazy bunny should've been doing tricep dips, push-ups, sitting crunches and calf raises in there. :p just about anything, from tweaking the diet-amount to letting blood gush in the veins through intermittent work-outs, anything, to escape tucked in a soft...

same happens with me if i train in the evening. but about morning am not sure. coz during our training days we used to fall asleep in the classes after our morning PT & conditioning muster.  but i've found anaerobic conditioning/weight-lifting in the mornings to usually kind of...

yes, my questions were entirely 'office-bound'. you got me! stuck in a kind of job i had never thought myself to be in, ever in my life, & used to actively despise it - an office/desk-PC job. life! incidentally i got thrown into this when i myself suffered an ACL and meniscus tear while...

i was contemplating on bumping this thread up since past some time! i was with an international Kuosho (Taiwanese nat'l sport/martial art; very similar to Wushu) organisation (ICKF) about 1.5 decades back. we had a few branches in Manipur too. once had the chance to meet some fellow members...

there are so many spiritual/martial arts fables (of 'testing') on this! "the seeker first tests and tests the master to check & measure him to his full satisfaction before accepting him; its then the master's turn to test and squeeze the disciple like a lemon to filter out and extract the nectar...

in case of buakaw, it was/is a bit like the first variety. a bit of haughtiness that comes with consistent success & one being very good at his/her trade, even if started with humble beginnings. but may be my perception of him in this regard is wrong, for watching/reading about him more later...

yes, the fighter does inspire awe. intense, dedicated & seems no-nonsense, with some drops of hard-nosedness/arrogance (some of his old vids esp. those shot by his friends at his home-village show that). on the risk of sounding patronising, such qualities usually only show/develop more in those...

@pmaitra and others, who might be interested in kickboxing even if just as a recreational activity, check some training videos of buakaw, and the YT channel of Sifu Shi Yan Lei. these can definitely pique your interest. the latter one can introduce you to some good general fitness exercises too.

that's why getting custom-made shoes is recommended by docs (where a machine is used to map and record your feet and the pressure-points etc). but its costly, esp. when you need to use multiple (kinds of) shoes/footwear. :frown: P.S. - those sports shoes with thick/hard heels can be dangerous...

shoes, i still can't figure out which are the ultimate correct shoes for me. though have been using running shoes since some time. will get some suggestions from a couple of sports docs/orthotists whom i have to visit. probably will have to get them made, an expensive affair. but even then...

I get pain in my feet/surrounding irregularly, at different points, achilles tendon being one of them. presently on the look-out for either some suitable shoes for work and play or atleast a good orthotic accessory. will check about these hyperdunk shoes if can be helpful for me.
