I travelled a lot all over USA and I have sen a lot of Hindu temples being built in different states. I often wonder who will manage these temples in the future? I don't see anyone even remotely interested in religion or culture in this generation of indian/Hindu American kids.
This is the land of the free. No family or society pressure to have arranged marriages. A troubling development for many Indian boys who many times listen to their parents work and study hard then have trouble finding a (good) wife.
Of all the marriages I went to in the past year . About 50 percent were mixed marriages . Many were also not first marriages. I also see a diversity in my family Indian, Spanish, anglo-saxon,Italian,russian,portugese and Chinese.
Most of the times it is second generation girls usually not a immigration benefit. Many girls find their husbands in school or on the job. While guys look for their wives thru families,friends and Internet.
The inferiority complex is more severe in the oriental Asians than other Asians. Many oriental women prefer marrying outside their race leaving many males in their community single .
