I just completed a tour from Bhopal to Delhi to Jaipur . Mostly cash problem is solved in small cities and even tier 2 cities. But in noida /Delhi there are still long lines in the ATMs . In my native place a district headquarter city cash crisis lasted total 10 days long:biggrin2:.

It has tremendous value. As the inflation has gone up big note is a very practical necessity. Today it seems like a problem because of short supply of 500rs new notes. But look at the market and prices. As economy goes up bigger notes are needed.

Govt just can't force entire nation in exchange lines once again. That will be patent stupidity and political sucide .

We are talking about long term impact. Now we have a 2000rs note in circulation. Soon it will become much more conductive for black money . People know govt . Can't repeat this so they will start hoarding again. Govt might reduce quantum of circulation but there will still be plenty of cash...

Well farmers make 50% of population and agriculture is tax free. Rest 90 % are employed in unorganized sector. These things will take time to change. Anyway most of direct tax is collected from corporate tax. And now they will show more revenue and more profits to digest a lot of black money...
