Russians already have it, it's fielded already, Zircon is a cruise missile that has already demonstrated mach 8+ speeds. Brahmos Mk-2 will probably get tech from Zircon.

MKI cannot carry 5 of these, 2-3 is feasible. 5 would make it a sluggish bull instead of a feline ballet dancer. Tejas MK-2 can carry it only if center line store can support 1.5 tons of weight, this is not the case for Tejas now.
