Yet IN doesn't want Mig-29k. 70% serviceability was temporary, serviceability soon took a dip. With Russian-Ukrainian war serviceability will even reduce more. 3 Mig-29k crashes have happened from 2019. IN has made it clear it doesn't wants additional Mig-29k for IAC-1.

With Admiral Gorshkov (INS Vikramadatya) deal we were forced to buy Russian jet. That was a clause for the deal and one of the reason why they initially charged us less for the ship. Neither Russia nor US will allow F-35B on INS Vikramadatya. USAF itself is not getting more F-22s.

I believe American strategy is to sell us F-15 or F-16 and during mid-life upgrade push F-35. Also their current F-35 production line is complete jam-packed. ToT and cost will also be an issue for F-35. Looks like US is playing safe.

You are misinformed wrt Mig-29k. The IN was forced to go with the MiG-29K as part of the Admiral Gorshkov (INS Vikramadatya) deal. In 2010, it was reported that India and Russia were close to signing a deal for 29 MiG-29K fighters to operate from IAC-1 but it was never offical and no such deal...

Not actually. With INS Vikramaditya we only had option for Mig-29k. It was not the best case but the only case. No, Mig-29k was not evaluated thoroughly. When we purchased INS Vikramaditya we had to purchase Russian aircraft (as per Russian conditions). Mig-29k was the only contender. With INS...

Who is 'we'? We is an amalgamation of IAF, MoD and GoI in short Republic of India. Everybody cares about we. IAF doesn't operate in isolation. IAF has made it clear. Its requirement is of additional 114 aircraft. IAF has never said it wants EU jets. GoI will chose jets that suit Indian...

The advantage F-15 and Gripen is that they are offering AESA jammer. This is one of the prime requirement of of IAF. IAF is planning to incorporate Israeli ELL-8251SB Scorpius in Rafale and MKI with advent of PL-15 BVR in PAF and PLAAF.

We have AMCA no need for Su-75. Su-75 is the greatest threat to AMCA. Why should IAF consider upto 180 EU jets? 114 is more than enough. We have our indigenous developed aircraft. We need to get out of import mentality. Remember for GoI defense procurement is nothing more than a Strategic tool.

EFT has too many suppliers (logistic problem) and is way to expensive. EFT future (upgrade path) is also in question as UK and Germany are procuring F-35s and are developing new generation fighters. UK plans to start retiring some of their EFT from 2025. As for Mig-35 and Su-35; GoI has...

As per whom? Not as per IAF. IAF did reject it saying it is not stealthy. At the end of day only results matter. In 1990s the state of India was bad enough hence flankers. in 2022 it is not the case. Yet it doesn't outperform MKI. Russians can offer anything but capabilities is what matter...
