We will have indigenous 125 mm smoothbore gun iirc. No idea about any 120 mm project.

That will be a blunder. Light Steel unless new metallurgy applied like Japan , will not give required protection. Arjun has heavy armour but it gives tremendous level of protection.... We can't neglect it. Whatever we have is God's Blessings....rather T-90s are Achilles Hills

Sorry sir,no written documents I can provide. I had the oportunity to have discuss on tanks a little with a DRDO scientist (but not in armoured section),he said that initial rejection from army came because the turret failed to withstand against 106mm..

Kunal sir, afaik the 13 T turret one failed to resist against 106 mm at least in the initial tests. Don't know if better materials were used later to make turret later

Yes, as Arjun mk 1 turret is of 30T but Ex Tank turret weighs just 13T

Isn't the tank mantlet a weak spot?Shouldn't there be extra cover?
