After first flight for a 5th gen fighter it takes minimum 10 years for FOC induction with all sorts of certifications and validations. If war happens tomorrow IAF does have good chance with Rafale vs J-20 thanks to Meteor or Spectra. After 5 years, We dont know for sure as Chinese MIC mature...

India's industrial maturity specially HAL is nowhere near West or even Chinese. Have visited both. That could be one of the reason

All the weapons those have sensors are prone to jamming including manned fighters. But there are cat and mouse games between ECM, ECCM and others and this will go on. But ummammed systems fused with AI are the future of warfare. Wingman will be introduced in most 4.5 gen or 5th gen fighters...
