    No .. AMCA1 will have an internal bay .. what it will not have is engines efficient enough to allow it it supercruise, won't have a DAS either . And based on what news is coming out of any french collab no next gen tech like adaptive cycle engine even for the amca2 .

    Kek.. the operating word here is :development: .. Which no private industry is willing to do since they have no clear cut customers .. They are good for manufacturing be it on foreign designs or those from DRDO / ISRO etc..

    Isn't it the case that either the airframe is proven and the engine is new or the engine is proven and the airframe is new .. if both are new there is development hell. It makes sense for HAL to offer a drop in replacement for shakti on ALH and ask for an upgrade of a proven engine for the IMRH...
