No .. AMCA1 will have an internal bay .. what it will not have is engines efficient enough to allow it it supercruise, won't have a DAS either . And based on what news is coming out of any french collab no next gen tech like adaptive cycle engine even for the amca2 .

Well yeah .. Prototype development is always a contract between 2 or more companies .It is only our khichidi of govt design agencies, DPSUs, private OEMs , public and private LRU suppliers and foreign LRU suppliers that has the AMCA in this comical position. The only example that I can think of...

Not even Russia .. UAC does the design as well as production.. only their nuke subs are designed by a separate design bureau.

Not blaming anyone or anything. But it is desirable to have the design and production be under the same entity .. it is the norm the world over for aircraft anyway.

I'm sure employees such as this are doing more critical work which could have been highlighted but it is still a fucking bench .

Taking on a development partner means that they will demand work share as well as modifications to the design . You gotta take that into account in the cons column .

Godrej got the deal because they have experience manufacturing the vikas and CE 200 engines for ISRO.

Kek.. the operating word here is :development: .. Which no private industry is willing to do since they have no clear cut customers .. They are good for manufacturing be it on foreign designs or those from DRDO / ISRO etc..

Isn't it the case that either the airframe is proven and the engine is new or the engine is proven and the airframe is new .. if both are new there is development hell. It makes sense for HAL to offer a drop in replacement for shakti on ALH and ask for an upgrade of a proven engine for the IMRH...

Yes .. What you are showing is a concept and trying to say, oh if only we could have achieved this years ago . Which is wishful thinking considering the status of the afore mentioned technology prerequisites today.
