AMCA - Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (HAL)

Should we buy for the AMCA MK2, the Japanese XF-9 jet engine which has 3D thrust vectoring, with 150KN thrust with afterburner and is free from sanctions on use and is customizable? Or the AL-41 from Russia which is used in the super maneuverable SU-35 and the SU-57?

Will the AMCA have Thrust Vector Control like the SU 30 MKI and SU 57?

This is true, Pakistan is supported by the U.S. overtly but we have a history of CIA and RAW collaboration since the 50s. There were hard choices made and many ppl lost but the undercurrent here clearly shows how deep the India USA connection is. Forget about China helping them most of the...

Roll Royce ruined the HF-24 Marut by giving us under powered engines. Those guys are cheats to the core never trust the British. The guys who went to meet them in the UK are sell outs. Super hornets are coming to the Navy. It would be idiotic to buy any other engines since GE engines are on the...

Staying with the current GE engines which will be uprated to 110 - 120 KN is a better and only option in my opinion for the AMCA, Tejas and TEDBF. Rolls Royce will only complecate the engineering department and the engineers will have to work on different platforms for the same airframes which...

AMCA - Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (HAL)

Still trying to wriggle in ? I am being very straight and specifying we don't need rolls royce to join in with any of our immediate and future programmes. Please focus on your own country for once and work out your own programmes, on your own, without giving other countries an opportunity to put...

It's your flag which led me to believe you were promoting some English produce. So you are a native from here? If so kindly hold back from derogatory comments and derailing remarks related to programmes which are in full swing here. It's great to know expats do take a kind interest in their own...

So which engine company do you suggest? Let me tell you... the engines are made first, tested and then advertised here and there. So I think Brexit from India too I what I think you guys should do simply because mainland will not do business with Britain and her colonies. I think you get a...

Rolls Royce wasn't very happy about the HF-24 program and gave such under powered engines that a Mach 2 design could reach the sound barrier only in a dive. Let's just keep all British systems out of the AMCA program. Their level isn't very flexible.

Is there a naval version of the T-7A?

Yes, What is your point of view?

AMCA - Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (HAL)

The Boeing T-7A is made for the air force, here we are making a naval fighter from scratch, it might be a tejas derivative but a front line design compared to a trainer makes a big difference.

AMCA - Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (HAL)

Yes but what competition is available for a supersonic trainer? The South Korean fighter, on offer is based on the F-16 and a naval version isn't a very desirable design. Also the ORCA if chosen with a twin engine setup and GE engines sould safely bring up the chances if entered into a...

I hear the USN might be interested in the Naval version of the LCA for training pilots on a supersonic trainer, they are retiring to goshawk and the Talon.

Hey for AMCA, Tejas MK 2, TEDBF Navy/Airforce and future itirations of the respected designs; the canopy at least needs to be a full bubble like an F-22, I really don't like instruments over natural pilot view angles. Even the current Tejas and AMCA designs have the same Eastern block design...
