Kadhal en Kadhal was alos catchy..the raw emotions which we exhibit after getting drunk after a dumping was conveyed well in that song.:thumb:

Actually all the songs in Mayakkam enna were catchy and superb. GV rox.

Even in Indian songs white has connotations of 'good' while black has connotations of 'bad'.

Yeah it has been the case even in ancient literature.

It has more to do with white symbolizing day(bright) and black symbolizing night (dark)..Not with any racial theories.

Ancient literature may not have been subtly racist but I doubt the same can be said for "modern" music and culture.

In Bollywood films lighting is used specially to make actors seem whiter than they actually are.

    H. Rap Brown does a good job of explaining the "colour complex". Listen from 0:25.

yeah such symbolisms do exist. But just saying that particular line is not racist considering that even old poets have used those words in exactly the same meaning without any racial connotations.

I remember when this song first came out, the rough edit i mean, I used a part of it as my signature. It was

    White skin-u girl-u girl-u.
    Girl heart-u black-u.
    Eyes-u eyes- u meet-u.
    My future dark-u.

LOL! I thought no one would be interested in that song.

I thought all this fuss is a result of viral marketing, paid news.
    I'm still not convinced.

Awesome song though, like the Sharad Pawar Tajinder singh version more.
