The American culture is about material achievement. This is a society which is called a true "rakshas" society like Lanka of Ramayan. Lanka was wealthy and practiced same principles which abounds in USA today.

Interestingly the word "patal" used in ancient Sanskrit literature refers to the continent of America (as it is on the other side of the earth). "patal" was known for its non-Vedic or anti-Vedic culture for a long time, it seems.

America will remain this way. It is unlikely America will change. America may only lose its leadership status in future and become a normal place. I see people of USA becoming normal people in one decade after USA loses its power.

Americans aren't morally bankrupt. They are no more immoral than Canadians or Australians. There is a lot of stupidity in America though compared to these places. Stupid and immoral factions of American society are just disproportionately powerful and drag the whole country down with them. On a personal level, I like americans. All my encounters with them have been pleasant.

Welll! Culture is something that emerges out of a strong foundation called heritage.

To start with..American foundation is built on genocide. WHat good do you exepect out of them genese other than slavery and war!!

How can the world expect culture from a group of murderers and rapists..!!!

America is very strong culturally. Its an aware incarnation of anglo culture and traces itself strongly to the European enlightenment era. It has strong admiration for the Roman empire and greek civilization especially the democracy part and fancies itself a torch bearer for them.

Many people confuse pop culture and how america is portrayed in movies and in media for what the majority of middle class and working class attitudes are actually like. Many do not live in liberal areas like new york or LA and san fran which america media portrays as the average american. Its the deeply conservative, Christian and Euro ancestry aware. That's their culture.
