What if Iran get's the new deadly russian missile even US patriot cannot neutralize it and Israel and US will not be able to safeguard its assets in the middle east because this can be hidden and launched from anywhere with disguise and the missile has a tech that it flys around the radar to avoid detection from radar even india uses this missile but not the launch system there is a video of this missile system on the blog Global defence link - (geneva-globaldefence.blogspot)

A new cruise-missile system being marketed by a Russian firm is attracting attention as a weapon that, according to its own promotional video, could transform ordinary civilian freight vehicles into long-range missile launchers.

Russian Company offering the "Club K" cruise missile system hasn't sold any units, but their prototypes sure work well. Barabanov said the Club-K used proven missiles from Novator, an established Russian maker of weponry including anti-submarine, surface-to-air and sumbamarine-launched missiles, The prototypes being mobile units, which generally have S 300 or PMU-2 missiles on them, and these types of missile tubes can be mounted on Russian Made mobile platforms similar to those which have been sold to nations like Iran and others. The cruise missiles mounted on first stage rockets are launched and then the wings fold or pop out as the missile makes its way to the target.

The Klub-K proved itself to be junk when the Indians test fired it. None of them hit their targets and where dozens of kilometres off target.

Klub isn't a nuclear missile. Even if it was and you were trying to hit a PLA army formation, they would still survive with NBC equipment. Nuclear weapons in the KT range need to at least be within a couple of kilometres to wipe out structures and NBC protected vehicles.

Thanks a lot for the info. If K club cannot carry a nuclear warhead then we need not worry about it . one need thousands of these to make any significant damage.

New success of development of Russian high-tech weapon: a camouflaged quadruple launcher cruise missiles "Turquoise" (export name - «Club-K»)

Buy for only 10 million pounds (15 Megabucks) and hide in the normal (standard, innocent looks) container rail launcher, capable of at the right time (on the ship, on a railway platform on the road tractors) to come into firing position and fire off (one for etc.) as much four cruise missiles capable of engaging surface (and, more interestingly, floods) targets at a distance of up to three hundred kilometers. Of particular interest is the anti-variant missiles (3M54E1), bearing penetrating high-explosive warhead weighing four quintals and capable of striking aircraft carriers. A key advantage of this missile is its ability to predfinishnom segment of flight suddenly drop, discard the core engine - and then suddenly accelerate to speeds in excess of the speed of sound three times, breaking the standard means of defense.

So much discussion here without thinking about international treaties. How will the Russian export any ballistic or cruise missile without violating MTCR. And a less than 300 km range missile is of no use to Iran.

What if somehow these technology is smuggled out of Russia. There is already a threat that many countries are looking for this technology.

The Russians can add it to the Kilos Iran already has and still stay within the MCTR. This has been in the works for a few years but USA pressure has been successful in blocking it so far.

Not possible. Russia will not violate any treaty. We could have had a 1000km range Brahmos if the Russians wanted to violate any treaty. Do not take international obligations lightly.

well i think because of the sanctions Iran might not be able to get these missile as because of the violation and my friend Yusuf you know about MTCR act but i hope u would have gone throught it once MTCR act only applies when u have to supply or TOT of missile which has a range of more then 300 kms why do u think the brahmos has a range of 290 when indians wanted a missile with a range of 450
and to my friend Armand2REP bro india was damn eager to get the hands on this missile before the missile didnt even pass all the tests that are counducted there were few problems in the missile but india never gave chance the russian company to test out their tech firmly but now they have finished the testing and the seekers and some parts of the missile has been changed if it was not good enough then why would india place more orders of it and place it is Shivalik class frigate

IIRC there were reports of Saudi Arabia signing mega defence deals with the Russians. I am sure if they are in the pipe line the Russians would not be fools to supply Iran with advanced missile systems.
