The rot spreads all over the world!

But then he was the deputy commander of the United States' nuclear forces.

He knew how to take risks and impervious of stress.

Maybe he was testing these qualities when things got sour!

US Fires General in Charge of Nuclear Missiles

WASHINGTON, October 11 (RIA Novosti) – The US Air Force on Friday fired the general in charge of its entire arsenal of nuclear missiles, citing “a loss of trust and confidence in his leadership and judgment.”
Maj. Gen. Michael Carey was removed from his command of the 20th Air Force, which is responsible for the nation’s three wings of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), the US Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) said in a statement.
The three wings of ICBMs consist of a total of 450 missiles at three bases across the country, The Associated Press reported.
The decision to fire Carey was made by the commander of AFGSC, Lt. Gen. James Kowalski, “based on information from an Inspector General investigation into Carey’s behavior during a temporary duty assignment,” the statement said.
Kowalski is in charge of all of the Air Force’s nuclear weapons.
Officials would not say what led to Carey’s dismissal, but the statement said it had nothing to do with his command of the nation’s nuclear weapons or sexual misconduct.
The vice commander of AFGSC, Maj. Gen. Jack Weinstein, has been named Carey’s interim replacement.

Top US officers are evaluated on loyalty to Obama, not to loyalty to their country. That is my conclusion.

Are the promotions in the US military based on party affiliations?

I heard that that is so.

I have no information on that happening for the senior officers, but surely it works that way. What I do know for sure is that the Democrats in every presidential election suppress the military vote (by diverting or making absentee votes unavailable) because more military people will vote for the Republican candidate.

That certainly did not end well. Did Obama put the FBI onto Petraeus and Broadwell?

But there was an extra-martial affair between Broadwell and Petraeus. I'll give Obama the benefit of the doubt here.

Petraeus was a poster boy for Republicans, but after elevating him to the Directorship of CIA, he would've ensured that Petraeus wouldn't have stood against him in '12 elections.

Can't say Petraeus is a poster boy for Republicans if he himself says he is a Rockefeller Republican.

Ironically enough, these views are regaining traction - but in China. Xi Jinping is a classic Rockefeller Republican, if you strip away the red meat he tosses to the left-wing base of the CCP.

I wouldn't be surprised, especially after party affiliations were used as a motivating factor for IRS audits.
