If Bush were still president, the news media would trumpet the number of deaths every day. With Obama, not so much.

If Bush were President today then American forces would still have been fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

New wars would have been started in Yemen, Mali and Ukraine

Because to finish the job and hold the objective you will always need the infantryman.

Many years ago, when a US soldier used to die..it used to be on the front page ..now, hundreds of US soldiers die and news in buried somewhere in middle page of newspapers. Just like life of a human being has been cheapened everywhere...life of US servicemen has cheapened too.
No body talks about miliatry deaths, their suicides and their mental illness.. People have become cold and insensitive. People are very afraid of being watched, their phone calls listened and their computer activity spied on....whatever happened to freedom of speech, privacy and individual dignity. SAD.

Anyone who understand warfare would know that it is the MAN behind the WEAPON who makes the difference.

Technology is merely a Force Multiplier.
