US Cut backs in Central Asia

    It is interesting to note that the US is cutting back its aid in 'unproductive' areas and bolstering itself in areas where it is to influence the politics and strategy in the region.

    Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are important for sustenance of US Forces in Afghanistan. Kyrgyzstan is also important as a 'listening post' into China.

    Georgia is but a vassal.

    And is it that Azerbaijan is too Iran oriented?
