It is true that Europe has been kinda like the end point of Westward migration. And there have been plenty of migrations till now.
Hell, there are at least 3 mongoloid origin nations in europe with their own countries and many more in the past.
But really think about it. Did they integrate so well?? If so would there be so many nations in Europe??
This in spite of the fact that Europe had a unifying ideology of xtianity in the past, which seems to be in retreat these days.
Also add to this that migrant numbers these days are much larger as compared to the past.
And finally these days there is feminsim, the destroyer of civilizations.

Europe's biggest problem from uniting is their Abrahamic foundations. These foundations give way to rigidity and a strong sense to '
retain control' in their specific dominion. The EU today has open border for people to live and work anywhere within member countries. However, the extremely localized sense of identity that results is constant breaking up of various states and state-lets.
The day Europeans adopt a more spiritual and Eastern syncretic mentality will be the day when their 1000-year-old inner intolerance starts wearing off. After a few decades, they would then behave a bit more normally.
For example, There is absolutely no reason for Moldova to be separate from Romania; they're literally the same people. The same goes for Serbs, Croats, Slovenians and Bosnians - barring Bosnian Muslims, they all perfectly understand each other, share like 90%+ of their common identity and do everything similar with minor differences.
I could give you more examples here, but you get the idea. The modern Judeo-Christian mercantile construct of nation states is at odds with what the people want. This is where civilizational countries such as us, China (pre-communist), Japan, and to some extent Russia, find it easy to adjust.
Educated but jobless: The exodus of Italy's youth
werent these european nations shouting loud about giving jobs to syrian migrants and culturally enriching them!!!
Them themselves dont have their house in order!
As the strain of the ongoing Ukraine War hits individual nation states differently, the chain of Liberal Elites holding European countries together will be broken. Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, France & Germany have no bone to pick with either Russia or China.
France is a little worried about its island territories in the Pacific Ocean, but nothing too serious. Same for Russia. France is trying backdoor negotiations with Putin for this very reason. Germans have been smelling the Anglo-Saxon weakness for quite sometime as they are getting weary of the post-WW2 shackles imposed on them and want to pivot to new emerging markets.
In the future, don't be surprised to see EU break or break into multiple smaller groups with different European interests and completely pivot towards Asia, Africa & Middle East.
