and the worst part is we made China as our enemy...it was totally unnecessary to irritate China if India really did not have the capability to help Tibetians..
What was India thinking that time ? One one side it gave refuge to Dalai Lama and on the other side it supported 'One China' policy... there was absolutely no vision what so ever..

Acknowledging one china by India in 1960's does not mean it has to be applicable now. I am sure that one day we will have a leadership that has the balls to support the just cause and tear up all this one china nonsense.

i hope not.i remember Nehru govt accepted mc mohan line as international border & tibet as an integral part of china so that Chinese too will accept mc mohan line.but Chinese didn't accept mc mohan line as international border.
a huge diplomatic failure of Nehru

as of vajpayee its just continuation of our previous stance.they were at least a bit successful in persuading china accept arunachal pradesh as a part of india at least for the time being.again when congress came back to power their stance changed back to normal
