Re: An India-Japan Alliance Based On Fear Of The Dragon

Now this is an alliance that India should actively sought at this point. The alliance should not only be military but it must be equally economic. Lure the Japanese businesses in China into India and grant these Japanese perks. If India can pull this economic coup then it will cause major defeats to China: 1) on the short term its economic recovery will suffer 2) and its long term strength will be put in jeopardy as economics (purchasing power) and military power comes hand-in-hand.

I hope the India leaders, who frankly are not known for foresight or strategic depth, do not miss out on this epochal opportunity.
Malaysia should also consider a similar relation with Japan in the longer run especially a joint security pact. Remember you have some of your islands in the active dispute and Malacca Strait is a strategic location you own.

Having an Asiatic military cooperation treaty that ensures at least a watch over and political support should be your Prime Minister's key concern.
