The article indicates that Bo Xilai is in confinement/ arrested in Beijiing and he, his wife and his son are not allowed to interact with anyone by the guards placed outside the mansion next to hutongs where Bo and his family have been confined.

The void of information has led to rumours of coups and assassination and even the Gobal Times, the mouthpiece of the CCP, baffled.

In an editorial on Thursday, the Global Times stated "The whole of China is waiting for the party to speak.....We hope they can come to a conclusion faster. The faster we hear an authoritative voice, the clearer society can be and the public can feel more secure."

Analysts have opined that it is still possible that Bo wil cut a deal and he will get some sinecure appointment of no consequence because he is a leader who still carries clout.

The Communists of China are in a quandary since Bo was projected as as no nonsense, red blooded Communist, he being the heir of the revolutionary traditions, who fought the Mafai and now suddenly, he has been disgraced and removed from his high position and arrested.

nobody is important. but China need to give his father face. He father is one of those senior created new China, and Chinese send his son to prison. not so good.

Was BO really all that important or is it a western hype?

Well, Bo is never that important politically.

Being the leader in Chongqing is the last chance he can convince Beijing that he is a suitable leader to for future china. He screwed it up. His policy is completely opposite to current chinese economic and political trend, which is bring china back to 1979.
The case of Wang is just the result of his failure.

The only reason that he became so important: his inability gave foreign power (USA) the opportunity to involve in CCP's internal power struggle. This not only make CCP lost its face in Chinese public, and also violate its principle: no foreign interference in China internal problem!

So, he was not important before, but he is important now due to these scandals.
