The CPEC has been slammed by many analysts as most say that China is in the process of looting Pakistan. Consider the electricity tariff. It would be a mind boggling Rs 18-20 PKR a unit! Can the ordinary citizen afford that? And the economics of transportation along those fancy highways would be nonviable in the long run.
