You are correct. Damascus Steel was indeed traded by Europeans. The Roman Empire went as far as Palestine at one point.

Do you speak Persian or Dari? I have a friend from Azerbaijan, and they use many words we use in India, but have different accents. I am sure Wikipedia couldn't be wrong.

We also use the word pulao, a type of food made with rice, and my Russian friends call it plov, my Azeri friend calls it pilaf, while the original Sanskrit word is pulāka, which means "lump of boiled rice."

URDU itself is a word of turkish language means "lashkari"..i dnt knw "lashkari" alternative in english

Urdu was a word which the Turkic Sultanate, and later the Mughals, gave to the language of the lower class people in their administration who couldn't speak full Chugtai or Farsi and mixed in words with their own native language, which was Hindi. Urdu is nothing but a dialect of Hindi. Moreover, the birth of Urdu was in Uttar Pradesh, a Hindi speaking region. Urdu is more similar to Hindi than even other Indian languages.

The only way to counter the argument is to claim that India and Pakistan did not exist at that time. If you are talking empires, than I'm sorry to burst your bubble but your geographical land has been under Indian empires for most of those 3000 years. Be they the Mauryans, the Mughals (who were a Turko-Mongol-Rajput mix), the Sikhs, or the British. The lands of Pakistan have been ruled most of their history from Delhi.
