RAWALPINDI, July 17, 2015 (MAMOSA Report) — The Pakistani soldier who shot down an Indian spy drone in Azad Kashmir on Wednesday with a single fire of his G3 rifle happens to be Hawaldar Shahzaman of the Mujahid Force battalion.



According to a report, the Pakistan military got vital information from the downed spy drone regarding Indians operation inside Pakistan.

The forensic analysis of the memory card retrieved from the Indian spy drone revealed the location/unit post of the Indian army from where it was launched, it has emerged.

The video footage from the memory card also revealed sensitive installations of Indian military behind the Line of Control (LoC).



Sources also confirmed that Pakistan intelligence reports had warned Pakistani troops deployed at LoC that Indians were planning an operation.

This spy drone was apparently photographing the area of Bhimber along the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Kashmir.

The drone incident took place only days after the meeting between Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in the Russian city of Ufa on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit.

Amid signs of escalation, this incident again underlines the precariousness of the current situation along the LoC and Working Boundary, wrote Daily Times.

The Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad, Mr T C A Raghavan, was summoned on Thursday to the Foreign Office to register a protest against this infringement of Pakistan’s airspace and sovereignty. The Indian military has denied these claims. Border cracks show on Ufa peace map, wrote one Indian newspaper.
