It also says: The White House later clarified, that it might revert back to the original financial grant to Pakistan to sell military hardware if need be.

So it's back to square one where Porkistan is concerned. These beggars will continue to live by the doles it gets from the US of A and the House of Saud. The Yanks will keep filling this terrorist cesspool with American tax payers dollars. And the Porki Generals will continue laughing all the way to the bank. Jeeez!

I am not expecting any major policy change on Pak by USA. Degenerate west needs terror state Pak to keep India in check. IMO Its interesting to see how much Pak is reliant on foreign money.

A lot of juicy info (first link).

Defence budget increased from 775 billion pkr to 860 billion pkr (comes around 8.20 billion usd at current exch rate).

Do check out their budget for science and technology.
They don't need budget for science and technology. They have all scientific knowledge readily available in the scientific handbook known as quran. Besides, they already have atmi BUM, what else do you need science for?

Stupid Baniya.

Pakistan to be home of Future Chinese military base: Pentagon

A Pentagon report released on Tuesday singled out Pakistan as a possible location for a future Chinese military base, as it forecast that Beijing would likely build more bases overseas after establishing a facility in the African nation of Djibouti.

The prediction came in a 97-page annual report to Congress that saw advances throughout the Chinese military in 2016, funded by robust defence spending that the Pentagon estimated exceeded $180 billion. That is higher than China's official defence budget figure of $140.4 billion.

Chinese leaders, the US report said, appeared committed to defence spending hikes for the “foreseeable future,” even as economic growth slows.

The report repeatedly cited China's construction of its first overseas naval base in Djibouti, which is already home to a key US military base and is strategically located at the southern entrance to the Red Sea on the route to the Suez Canal.

“China most likely will seek to establish additional military bases in countries with which it has a longstanding friendly relationship and similar strategic interests, such as Pakistan,” the report said.

Djibouti's position on the northwestern edge of the Indian Ocean has fuelled worries in India that it would become another of China's 'string of pearls' of military alliances and assets ringing India, including Bangladesh, Myanmar and Sri Lanka.

The report did not address India's potential reaction to a Chinese base in Pakistan. But Pakistan, the US report noted, was already the primary market in the Asian-Pacific region for Chinese arms exports. That region accounted for $9bn of the more than $20bn in Chinese arms exports from 2011 to 2015.

Last year, China signed an agreement with Pakistan for the sale of eight submarines.

Quantum satellite, cyber hacks
The Pentagon report flagged Chinese military advances, including in space and at sea. It cited China's 2016 launch of the first experimental quantum communications satellite, acknowledging that it represented a “notable advance in cryptography research.”

As in past years, the Pentagon renewed its concerns about cyber spying, saying US government-owned computers were again targeted by China-based intrusions through 2016.

“These and past intrusions focused on accessing networks and extracting information,” the report said.

“China uses its cyber capabilities to support intelligence collection against US diplomatic, economic, and defence industrial base sectors.”

In a section discussing Chinese Navy, the report predicted that China's first domestically designed and produced aircraft carrier would likely reach initial operating capability in 2020.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist or a US congressional think-tank to learn that China is building a PLAAN base in Pakistan's Gwadar. We knew this the day the CPEC came into existence. All this talk about it being an economic corridor that will make Pak a super duper power was a lot of hash to lure the pussies to sign on the dotted line.

It was Gwadar that the Chinks were after - and they got it! From here they will be able to dominate the Strait of Hormuz and the IOR posing a threat to Indian and US assets in the region.

The CIA seems to be in deep slumber. They need to put a spanner in the works to disrupt the CPEC especially in Balochistan before it's too late.

Going by the events happening around the world, there seems to be realignment of strategy from American deep state.

We will have to wait for an year to find out their new target.

I was not talking about Pakistan, more about china or south east Asia.

Pakis might be indirectly effected, that's about it.

There are too many invested in keeping that laundry dirty and filthy for us- US, China, KSA and UK, also known as forefathers.

Till the day we can overwhelm all of their influences, I am afraid the laundry will continue to rot and smell.

Moreover, it's not a cleanable laundry, it needs to be incinerated.

Is India doing anything to tackle the string of pearls :confused1:, I mean once it is completed we would have to kiss Indian Ocean good bye.
They already have bases in Djibouti with observation base in Coco island, naval port with docking agreement in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh.
China plays way too much in other peoples backyards.

If you don't know, it doesn't mean that it is not happening.

Do you really think that we will let China to susceed in String of Pearls...

We didn't even let America dominate us in the IOR in 1971, why do you think that we will let China do it now. Now before anyone who would like to start that Soviet Union helped us, please go through the below points.

1. As per Indira Gandhi (then Our PM), orders, our COAS Sam Bahadur started preparing our army for war.

2. Our Admiral has warned Pakistan well in advance that if war takes place, Karachi will burn. He warned them well in advance of one year.

3. Mrs. Gandhi has gone around the world to gather support for our invasion.

4. We have made pacts with SU in August 1971 as a part of gathering support.

5. Pak forces attacked India. India declared war on Pakistan.

6. America came to support Pak in IOR.

7. Thanks to SU subs, America didn't attacked us... and the rest is history....

The above statements are facts.

I typed them deliberately so that you can understand the big picture.

All we know is America tried to support Pak and dominate IOR in the Indian Ocean. With help of Soviet support, we foiled American plans. If we think that our Military planners haven't anticipated this and approached SU to counter that, then it is our foolishness.

The bottom line is we didn't tolerate world's largest force tried to mess with us in IOR when we're poor and fighting two front war. How could we think that we'll leave China when we are the third largest economy and fourth largest navy in the world.

Thus I rest my case.
