Once Again Six Ahamdi's charged with blasphemy in Pakistan

Six persons from the minority Ahmadi community in Pakistan have been charged with blasphemy for allegedly tearing an Islamic calender, In the latest case to highlight growing intolerance in the country.

According to an FIR, the six torn an Islamic calendar hanging on the wall of a shopkeeper during a religious debate with him yesterday in Sharqpur village, some 70 kilometres from here.

After the incident, several Al-Sunnat Wal Jamat activists held a demonstration and blocked the Lahore-Sharqpur road for several hours to protest against the minority community.

They demanded exemplary punishment for the accused.

They later dispersed after senior police officials assured them of action against the accused.

The Ahmadi community of Sharqpur village felt vulnerable after the incident as most of the families reportedly left their houses due to fear of backlash from Muslims.

Meanwhile, the police launched raids and managed to arrest three persons involved in the incident.

The police in Punjab Province said yesterday had filed blasphemy charges against a group of 68 lawyers (Shia) who staged a street protest against a senior police official named after a companion of Prophet Muhammad.

In 2011, Salmaan Taseer, the governor of Punjab, and Shahbaz Bhatti, the minister for minorities, were shot dead in separate attacks after advocating changes to the law.

Blasphemy is an extremely sensitive issue in Islamic Pakistan and insulting the Prophet Mohammed can carry the death penalty.
Pakistan's strict blasphemy laws have been criticised by rights groups, who say they are frequently misused to settle personal scores.

You know the real reason ?

They are punishing them because they played a major role in creation of Pakistan ?

They were the most educated and wealthy amongst the pre- partition Indian Muslims and closer to Britishers due to their English education. After partition, Ahmadies occupied most of the prominent position in the Government.

Pakistanis Wahabies keep punishing them for that !!!

The Quran teaches that Mohammed is the last Prephet, it is one of the basic pillars of Islam. Deny that and yiu become a kafir. It's all black and white, no room for disxussion there. So wahabis or sunnis have nothing to do with it.

Pesonally I am against blasphemy law and I would love to see more power given to minorities and sperate religion from state. Unfortunately we failed to educate our masses hence radical Islam took over.

Come on Neo ! For a change give that wisdom to your Pakistani friends. I do need it because Hindu, Muslim, Ahmadia , Christian or any one else are equal to and for (in front of ) law in my country...

We do not kill any one who does not believe that God only belongs to the Muslims ( Sunni Wahhabi Muslims) and Muhammad is the ultimate massager. Whatever he said is even beyond God... what a belief. In Islam God realisation by individual soul is not possible because there is Muhammad in between .. !! One can not transgress Muhammad !! So Muhammad as individual is beyond God... !!

Actually you all believe in Muhammad but not in God because if you believe in God then you can not believe in Muhammad and if you believe in Muhammad (the man) then God has no existence for you all !!
