Don't think it would changed a thing. The PRC was kept out of the UN. What's India seating instead of the ROC going to change that?

Incidently, the only proliferation done by the CCP was to Pakistan. Pakistan is responsbile for Iran and Lybia. North Korea program was homegrown.

The mother of all proliferation is Albert Einstein. What China did is not kosher by any means but the US and the USSR did far worst by directly giving nuclear warheads to their allies to use.

Canadian CF-104s only have one job - to drop American nukes.

Better to have the nukes in the hands of US allies than Pakistan, Libya, Iran, NoKo.
China sold the design, the knowhow. Giving away ready made bombs is not.

You're talking about Canada, Germany, Italy, and Japan and in the case of Moscow, East Germay, Czechoslavkia, and Poland. These are nuclear weapons capable countries with direct knowledge of their designs and fuses (how else are you going to mount those nukes?)

In the case of Canada, we helped design and built those nukes.

Again, NK's program is completely homegrown. AQ Khan may have sold designs to NK but their nukes are Pu based, not uranium.

No, she is not. The one test that the NKs have done was a reduced Pu device that went dud. From all evidence, not only was the device was badly made but the whole theory behind the device was out of whack to begin with. It is not what you expect from a proven Chinese design.

After the NK test, the Chinese moved one of their two best armies (and I mean the 39th Group Army) to the NK border, cut off all funds and electricity. On top of that, the Chinese let slipped that they're currently training for a "peacekeeping stablization" mission and published exercise photos with maps of the Korean penisula.

Given these actions, your out of date article (which was written 3 years before the test) has been proven false.

In my mind, did China limit her nuclear co-operation to Pakistan? No, she sold heavy water to India also after 1974.

China has no qualms about what the countries they are giving aid to are doing.

They don't care about their own i.e. Tibetan and the Uighur Muslims, so why should they care about foreign repressive regimes?

Chinese are people who realise that they are on their own and they are to survive, come what may. Human rights and all that is bogus for them. They understand the value of money and money is all the crave and salivate about.

Malaysia with all the Bhoomiputra hohah could do nothing since the Chinese control their economy. |So is the case of Singapore et al.

    Sir,

There was a time when the Chinese exported revolution and the mass insanity called the Great Prolitereate Cultural Revolution.

As was the proliferation of the CHIC-4 blueprint.

CHIC-4 tetsed by Pakistan was in the 1990's how can it be before the NPT?

    http://www.chitramala.com/news/china-pakistan-nukes-108086.html

Washington: While an assortment of non-proliferation hardliners and hi-tech suppliers treat India with immense suspicion in the matter of nuclear trade predicated on tests, it turns out that the United States and the west were fully aware of Chinese nuclear weapons proliferation to Pakistan, including conducting a proxy test for it, as far back as 1990.

ALL DONE IN VIOLATION OF NPT

The CHIC-4 test was done in 1990. The PRC signed the NPT in 1992.

NPT is as good as dead anyway with as many countries nuclear weapons outside as inside, good move by China to sneak in the proliferation without calling it that, and good thing India never signed that useless treaty.

The only countries with nukes outside the NPT are Israeli, India, and Pakistan. North Korea is suspected but doubtful. Iran is sounding more and more like a Japan where they want the capability to produce a nuke within a year but not actually doing so.

In any case, you're not staying on topic.
