New Delhi: Investigating agencies on Monday began probing the role of three non-governmental organisations (NGOs) who are suspected to have funded the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) operatives in the case.
The agencies have found that three NGOs had allegedly transferred huge sums of money to the accused in the Burdwan blast.
Of the three NGOs under the scanner, one operates from Kuwait and two others are based in Saudi Arabia.
"We met the chief minister and discussed the issue with her and we are happy to say that the chief minister and the West Bengal government have assured that the Centre and the state will work together in unearthing the entire case and take all kinds of action to see that such cases are investigated properly and prevented in future," Prakash Mishra, special secretary for internal security in the union home ministry, told media persons after the meeting.
The delegation earlier visited the blast site in Burdwan's Khagragarh, where two Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen militants were killed and another injured.
Several suspected operatives of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh are said to have been involved in the October 2 blast.

A man suspected to be Sheikh Yusuf, one of the key operatives accused of running the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh module in Bengal, has been captured from a border town in Nepal by Calcutta police's special task force, sources said today.
"We are certain that the detained man is Yusuf and have handed him over to the NIA, which is probing the (October 2) Burdwan blast," an STF source said.
Yusuf, 31, is believed to have set up the Shimulia madarsa, the alleged nucleus of the JMB's terror network in Bengal. "Yusuf holds the key to all the details of the case"¦. Several mysteries can be resolved if he cooperates," the source said.
Sources said investigators had learnt from Yusuf's family that the resident of Krishnabati, 2km from Shimulia, was educated at a madarsa in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

The NIA has bearded the lioness in her den.Subtle Centre forces Mamata's hand Nice, but do more, says Doval
Mamata Banerjee today spent more than an hour with the who's who of the country's security establishment at Nabanna, during which the chief minister promised "all possible co-operation" to fight terrorism and sought Delhi's help in tackling infiltration.
Sources described the chief minister's approach in the hour-long meeting with national security adviser Ajit Doval and other officers at Nabanna as "defensive".
Senior state government officers and political sources acknowledged in private that Delhi's strategy of putting pressure on her — by sending a battery of senior officers involved in security matters –- appeared to have shown some results and succeeded in averting charges of "politicisation".
Mamata had earlier questioned the decision to hand over the Burdwan blast probe to the National Investigation Agency, broaching the "federalism" logic.
A special flight from Delhi carrying Doval, special secretary (internal security) Prakash Mishra, NIA director-general Sharad Kumar, National Security Guard chief J. N. Choudhury and NIA inspector-general S.K. Singh landed in Calcutta airport this morning.
After visiting the blast site in Khagragarh in Burdwan, the team reached Nabanna at 12.55pm and spent around two hours there.
"We are going back with the assurance that the Centre and the state would be jointly fighting against terror"¦. The case, we hope, would be taken to its logical conclusion," Mishra told journalists after the meeting.
Besides Mamata, chief secretary Sanjay Mitra, home secretary Basudeb Banerjee, state police chief G.M.P. Reddy and Calcutta police commissioner Surajit Kar Purakayastha met the team from Delhi at the conference room, adjacent to the chief minister's chamber on the 14th floor.
There was no separate media briefing on the Nabanna meeting by the state, indicating it was on the same page with the Centre on the need for "cooperation" to solve the Burdwan blast case.
"One has to admit that the team's visit was somewhat embarrassing for the state"¦. The government now has no choice but to put on a smile and promise cooperation," a Nabanna official said.
Political sources privy to official business in the Modi government said the Prime Minister was "extremely worried" about the Burdwan episode.
"Modiji is very clear that BJP or NDA ministers or their official representatives visiting Bengal will not say anything that would amount to outright politicisation"¦. His approach is to manifest the Centre's deep concern through its officials. The presence of the country's top security officers in one place is a signal strong enough," a political source explained.
According to a senior official in Nabanna, the BJP government at the Centre had strategically sent a "handpicked team" to add to the state's "awkwardness".
"Although they spoke of cooperation and coordination with the chief minister and said as much to the media, the message that went out from their visit was that the state government couldn't handle it," the official said.
"If one looks closely, Centre-state politics are at play here, but very subtly so," he added.
A state government official said the decision to send Doval to "lend a professional touch to the case" was an "insult" to Bengal. "This means the state government did not have the professional touch," he explained.
Sources in Nabanna said Doval did the maximum talking with Mamata and told her that until now, at least 150 youths from Bengal had been trained by the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh, which was luring youths to set up arms factories and produce explosives meant to be used in the neighbouring country. The JMB module has been active in Bengal since 2010, Doval is learnt to have told the chief minister.
"Investigations till now have made it clear that each of the consignments smuggled across the border comprised 40-45 hand grenades," a senior home department official said, quoting Doval.
Mamata apparently told the national team that border security was the Centre's responsibility and until fencing along the India-Bangladesh border was complete, tackling infiltration would be difficult, an official said.
According to him, Doval then told Mamata to ensure the improvement and strengthening of the state's intelligence bureau.
Sources said the national security adviser rounded off the meeting by saying: "What we have got is nice, but we want more such cooperation from the state's side."
"He (Doval) also said that he would brief the Prime Minister about his meeting with the state government," a source said.
Earlier in the day, Doval told the NIA team in Khagragarh to shift the focus of investigation from Burdwan to Murshidabad and Nadia, sources said.
After Doval reached the blast-hit flat, IG NIA S.K. Singh and joint director of subsidiary intelligence bureau, Niraj Sinha, briefed him about the sequence of incidents, details of their findings and the leads they are were working on.
"He wanted to know every minute detail"¦. Right from the position of the bodies found at the spot to the places where blood was splattered on the wall," said an officer of a central agency who was present there.

The failure of the state intelligence branch in gathering intelligence and sharing it with the Centre was today discussed by the central security officers in their meeting with Mamata Banerjee and other officials at Nabanna today.
Sources said national security adviser Ajit Doval and his team told the chief minister and director-general of police G.M.P. Reddy how the intelligence branch was ignorant about Arabic and Urdu, two languages used by Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh operatives for their written communication, and had employed locals to translate books found in the madarsas that were searched in connection with the probe.
"While the National Investigation Agency has accepted our claim about the involvement of the JMB in Burdwan, the central team pointed out today how the intelligence network of Bengal police had failed in collecting important information," a senior official said.
"The state agencies had collected some textbooks in connection with the blast and passed them off as jihadi literature"¦. But later, the central agencies found that they were books in Arabic and were important for the probe," the official added.
According to sources, the central team of security officers also pointed out at the meeting today how the state intelligence unit sat on inputs provided by the Centre on terror modules at different points of time.
The sources said the central team told DGP Reddy that the state had shared with Delhi "little or no" intelligence "of use" over the past few years, while the Centre has been keeping the state posted on all key findings.
Another official said the central team asked Reddy to ensure better vigil of "potentially troublesome" areas, besides recruiting officers who can read Urdu and Arabic.
According to police sources, an intelligence branch officer ideally has to build a strong source network in the particular field where he is supposed to perform and should also read up extensively besides tracking developments.
Information gathering is source-driven, for which the officers are even given money. Identification of sources is at the key of information gathering, where the sleuths have to win over the trust of the person and nudge him to share information.
"Unless someone is tracking the beat sincerely, one cannot figure out the persons who can be explored as possible sources"¦. But that has not been happening for some time," a senior IB officer said.
A central agency source said that officers from the intelligence branch's terrorist wing are supposed to plant their sources in every corner of "fields" through which terrorists can possibly operate.
"None of the branch officer take their job seriously and they are not willing to do things for which they are assigned. You will hardly find anyone in the intelligence branch who has a reliable source in a remote pocket along the India-Bangladesh border," said another officer. "If an officer is transferred to the intelligence branch, he considers it a punishment. How can he work as an intelligence officer them?"
A Nabanna official said the team from Delhi nudged the state forces to "perform" and repeatedly stressed that JMB operatives would pose a serious threat to the security of the region.
"The director-general of police and the home secretary were told that it's already very late, but there is still time to avert greater damage by making the state IB clean up its act," he added.

A LITTLE STORY WHY THE MUSLIMS NEED TO BE REIGNED IN
Here is a little history. Including how the term 'Leatherneck' came to be.
Many are unaware of the fact that over two hundred years ago,the United States had declared war on Islam, and Thomas Jefferson led the charge!
At the height of the eighteenth century, Muslim pirates were the terror of the Mediterranean and a large area of the North Atlantic. They attacked every ship in sight, and held the crews for exorbitant ransoms.
Those taken hostage were subjected to barbaric treatment and wrote heart breaking letters home, begging their government and family members to pay whatever their Mohammedan captors demanded.
These extortionists of the high seas represented the Islamic nations of Tripoli, Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers – collectively referred to as the Barbary Coast –
and presented a dangerous and unprovoked threat to the new American Republic.
Before the Revolutionary War, U.S. merchant ships had been under the protection of Great Britain. When the U.S. declared its independence and entered into war, the ships of the United States were protected by France. However, once the war was won, America had to
protect its own fleets. Thus, the birth of the U.S. Navy.
Beginning in 1784, seventeen years before he would become president, Thomas Jefferson became America's Minister to France.
That same year, the U.S. Congress sought to appease its Muslim adversaries by following in the footsteps of European nations who paid bribes to the Barbary States, rather than engaging them in war.
In July of 1785, Algerian pirates captured American ships, and the Day of Algiers demanded an unheard-of ransom of $60,000. It was a plain and simple case of extortion, and Thomas Jefferson was vehemently opposed to any further payments. Instead, he proposed to Congress the formation of a coalition of allied nations who together could force the Islamic states into peace. A disinterested Congress decided to pay the ransom.
In 1786, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams met with Tripoli's ambassador to Great Britain to ask by what right his nation attacked American ships and enslaved American citizens, and why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.
The two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise."
Despite this stunning admission of premeditated violence on non-Muslim nations,as well as the objections of many notable American leaders, including George Washington, who warned that caving in was both wrong and would only further embolden the enemy, for the following fifteen years, the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages.
The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to over twenty percent of the United States government annual revenues in 1800.
Jefferson was disgusted. Shortly after his beingsworn in as the third President of the United States in 1801, the Pashaof Tripoli sent him a note demanding the immediate payment of $225,000 plus $25,000 a year for every year forthcoming.
That changed everything.
Jefferson let the Pasha know, in no uncertain terms, what he could do with his demand. The Pasha responded by cutting down the flagpole at the American consulate and declared war on the United States.Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers immediately followed suit.
Jefferson, until now, had been against America raising anaval force for anything beyond coastal defense, but having watched his nation be cowed by Islamic thuggery for long enough, decided that it was finally time to meet force with force.
He dispatched a squadron of frigates to the Mediterranean and taught the Muslim of theBarbary Coast a lesson he hoped they would never forget.
Congress authorized Jefferson to empower U.S. ships to seize all vessels and goods of the Pasha of Tripoli and to "cause to be done all other acts of precaution or hostility as the state of war would justify".
When Algiers and Tunis, who were both accustomed to American cowardice and acquiescence, saw the newly independent United States had both the will and the might to strike back, they quickly abandoned their allegiance to Tripoli.
The war with Tripoli lasted for four more years, and raged up again in 1815. The bravery of the U.S. Marine Corps in these wars led to the line "to the shores of Tripoli" in the Marine Hymn, They would forever be known as "leathernecks" for the leather collars of their uniforms, designed to prevent their heads from being cut off by the Muslim scimitars when boarding enemy ships.
Islam, and what its Barbary followers justified doing in the name of their prophet and their god, disturbed Jefferson quite deeply. America had a tradition of religious tolerance, the fact that Jefferson, himself, had co-authored the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, but fundamentalist Islam was like no other religion the world had ever seen.
A religion based on supremacism, whose holy book not only condoned but mandated violence against unbelievers was unacceptable to him. His greatest fear was that someday this brand of Islam would return and pose an even greater threat to the United States.
This should bother every American. That the Islams have brought about women-only classes and swimming times at taxpayer-funded universities and public pools; that Christians, Jews, and Hindus have been banned from serving on juries where Muslim defendants are being judged, Piggy banks and Porky Pig tissue dispensers have been banned from workplaces because they offend Islamist sensibilities.
Ice cream has been discontinued at certain Burger King locations because the picture on the wrapper looks similar to the Arabic script for Allah, public schools are pulling pork from their menus, on and on in the news papers"¦.
It's death by a thousand cuts, or inch-by-inch as some refer to it, and most Americans have no idea that this battle is being waged every day across America. By not fighting back, by allowing groups to obfuscate what is really happening, and not insisting that the Islamists adapt to our own culture, the United States is cutting its own throat with politically correct knife, and helping to further the Islamists agenda.
Sadly, it appears that today's America would rather be politically correct than victorious.
Any doubts, just Google Thomas Jefferson vs the Muslim World or click this link: First Barbary War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Happy Remembering!
Those who don't know HISTORY are destined to REPEAT it ! ! !
That is what ruins their case.Uk became rich based on the money they looted from their colonies and also supporting the pirates against the then super power the Spanish empire.
If we see the context of the two barbarians the british and the Islamic nations mentioned, both are same.
One thing that differentiates between both is that these radical Islamists do the crimes and say their prophet also did the same and GOD is with us.
You are welcome Sir,@pkroyal,
Thanks.
It is something that was very educative and of which I had no clue, including the origin of certain words like 'Leatherneck'.
I have no idea how to be on Facebook, Twitter and the like. You are welcome Sir,

The Trinamool Congress on Tuesday expelled strongman and former MLA Arabul Islam who had often put the party in embarrassing situations, the latest being the October 25 intra-party clash at Bhangor in South 24-Parganas district which left two persons dead.
Besides Islam, his close aide Jahangir Khan, whose name featured in the violence at Bhangor, has been expelled for a period of six years on the charges of indiscipline and misconduct, TMC secretary-general Partha Chatterjee told reporters.
Chatterjee said that the decision to expel the two leaders had been taken by the disciplinary committee of the party which went through the primary report submitted after the Bhangor intra-party violence which occurred due to rivalry over gaining control of a gram panchayat. "There is no place for indiscipline in the party. We had earlier said repeatedly that violence in any form would not be tolerated under Mamata Banerjee's leadership. Those found to be delinquent in this regard will be punished," he said.
State BJP welcomed the expulsion decision, but wanted the government to take legal steps against Islam for alleged role behind the clash. "Though late, we support the decision of the Trinamool Congress. Similarly, we want that there should be legal steps initiated against Islam in connection with the recent incident of killings in Bhangor," state BJP president Rahul Sinha said.
What exactly do you mean?
During the course of investigation, the NIA has so far discovered 13 Jihadi couples who were part of proscribed terrorist organisation JMB's (Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh) grand dream of establishing an Islamic state in Bangladesh and three West Bengal districts of Malda, Nadia and Murshidabad.
Investigations have revealed that to put their plan into practice, top JMB leaders in Bangladesh had instructed their cadres involved in India operation to target young females belonging to low socioeconomic background and marry them. This would enable them to acquire Indian identity and documents and the women could be used as a cover too.
According to NIA sources, 13 women from West Bengal got married to JMB cadres, and were involved in imparting dangerous jihadi indoctrination and training at the Simulia madarsa in Burdwan and Mukimnagar madarsa in Murshidabad. They also actively participated in spreading jihadi philosophy.
