Unidentified persons tried to set ablaze an RTC bus on its way to Yemmiganur from Hyderabad, near Miralam Tank filter bed late on Monday night. Police said bus driver Krishna sustained burns after the miscreants sprinkled petrol on the windshield. The driver was shifted to the hospital where his condition was said to be stable.

Earlier, more than a dozen passengers travelling in the bus sustained injuries after unidentified persons pelted stones on the vehicle.

A hunt is on to trace the miscreants.
