Why complete Indian Flag is not painted on the aircrafts ? Any specific reason for the same ? Flag looks like a foreign country flag !

Thank you. There must be some logic behind that paint scheme, I am curious to know about that. Couldn't find it anywhere on the net. Any ideas ?

Perhaps, doesn't make good sense, at least to me It looks like an Italian flag !
