They are being replaced by JF-17 point fighters but won`t be deployed anywhere near LOC any longer due to new devlopments in the region, These airbases will be used for logistics and heli bases ..
Pakis had declared no fly zone in this area last year lol. Their Radars must've picked IAF jets which fly close to LOC and Border(as far as Rajasthan) to scare off Pakis.

Their F 16 were on high alert and performing Combat Air Patrol flying all the way from Islamabad to POK. This is how scared they were last Year and thought IAF would've Bomb Terrorist camps.

I am sorry but I dont think Pakis are scared of us. Loosing almost 6-8 soldiers to sniper fire in one year is unacceptable. Moreover we need better snipers on LOC. Along with it the Dhanush and ATAGS have to get out of testing to deployment on field to hit Pakis when they do these transgressions. Army officers must be held responsible for this fiasco along with delays in artillery induction and assault rifles. Jawans are not for walking their dogs and their life is sacred responsibility of the officer. After yesterdays fire , we should have used ATAGMS and artillery to level paki posts

Pakistan troops violate ceasefire along LoC again

HIGHLIGHTS
  • This is the second ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Poonch in less than 24 hours.
  • There is no casualty on Indian side.
JAMMU: In second ceasefire violation in less than 24 hours, Pakistani troops on Monday resorted to mortar shelling and firing by automatic weapons along the Line of Control (LoC) in Pooch district of Jammu and Kashmir, prompting the Army to retaliate.

"There was unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan Army in Poonch sector from 0640 hours today, using 82 mm mortars, automatic weapons," a defence spokesman said.
Indian Army personnel took positions and responded befittingly to the Pakistani firing, the spokesman said, adding that intermittent firing was going on.

There is no casualty on Indian side, he said.

This is the second ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in Poonch district since Sunday.
On Sunday, Pakistani troops had violated the ceasefire by resorting to firing and mortar shelling in Krishnagati sector along the LoC in Pooch district.

On March 9, Army jawan Deepak Jagannath Ghadge was killed when Pakistani soldiers initiated indiscriminate and unprovoked firing along the LoC in Poonch.

Ahem Ahem we were just giving it back to them in a language best understood by them.
Sacrifice of our soldiers would not go in vain, and they are learning it

Bhai please teach them a lesson for sniping our jawans. Killing useless mujahid Battalion is not enough. Every time they snipe, we should send MBRLS right upto Muzaffarabad.

I don't understand what do they mean by cease fire violation?
Where is the cease fire first of all?

The 2003 cease fire agreement holds no value.

What is different from previous Ceasefire violation is that this time Pakis fire at our Trade Office center at Chaka Daa Bag LoC.

Rajeev Chandrashekhar would be laughing his Ass out hearing this news.

All cross border trade has to be stopped and all persons who have been involved in cross border trade have to be watched like being Pakistani agent.

When Cross border trade is resumed it should be resumed with 100% custom duty on import and 100% countervailing duty on export to Pakistan.

India should withdraw the most favoured nation status of Pakistan and replaced with "most uncivilised satanic nation status"

Only this is the commercial language Pakistanis will understand....

LOL I guess Pakistan Army just found out that India is earning millions of rupees in profits from trading with Pakistan.

Jokes apart.

Why are they attacking the trade center?

Trade called off by Indian side.....

Because the main trade center building shown in this tweet has itself been bombed by Pakis and employees are too scared to resume the work. Rest are labor and Truck Drivers who just ran away lol

Basically Pakis attacked the Govt property while Pak is a "most favored nation" declared by GOI

I am getting sick and tired of coming across the sentence "Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC again". at what point would it be considered far enough? I just don't get it. Oh and one more statement "we are giving a befitting reply". That's the media equivalent of 'we didn't do anything substantial in reply'.

If they what a fight, let's give them a fight. Our soldiers are getting killed on a daily basis as it is. Let's escalate and use this to flush out known rats in Kashmir. What the hell are we spending in Defence for?

Each and every time we say 'we are giving a befitting reply' it's a one up for Pakistan. Seriously, forget UNSC. We don't even deserve a spot on a team of Girl Scouts. They would have more fighting spirits. We don't deserve UNSC seat with this attitude. It's a council of the strong. We will only insult ourselves. the only UNSC member which has an order that's repeatedly attacked by a failing state with impunity. Veerappandiya Kattaboman and Chatrapati Shivaji would be rolling in their graves.

Apparently, our establishment, not just Congress, but even BJP is convinced that LOC is some sort of a sacrosanct line, which, if obeyed, will give us some brownie points in the eyes of the west. I remember Gen VP Malik discussing about how strong the pressure was from Vajpayee not to carry out any activity beyond LOC (still we managed to squeeze in a few attacks) during Kargil. The rationale seems to be that our 'good behavior' on the LOC is to be used as some sort of a bargaining chip with the west. "You told us to obey the line, we did. Pakistan is the one violating it. Tell them to go back or else...". This 'or else' is supposed to be some sort of a threat of massive invasion. In order for our 'or else' to be taken seriously we have quite a bit of missing pieces of the puzzle (elements for the pivot core).

Btw, we also have Diego Garcia to liberate. US and UK have dug in like a blood tick. This issue almost never gets mentioned.

Until then, it appears the GOI does not want to articulate its policy publicly to us. Almost all other nations have stated policies, only we don't. Pakistan has 'Kashmir banega Pakistan', US has a stated goal to prevent the rise of any nation or group of nations which can challenge it, Russia has a goal of preventing all the nations on its circumference from falling into NATO sphere, Israel wants to keep Golan Heights as a buffer. We don't even mention a broad policy framework to our civilians. Probably the stakes are too high.

I think it's better thread to discuss , when we launch "Operation Meghdoot" in 1984 to get Siachen, was pak army deployed densely west of NJ9842 ??
I mean we as per public information we liberate the glacier and 3 important mountain passes before pak army arrive there . My question is , what if we want to move further west to take konkordea and 14 8000er ??? It could bring us lot closer to Skardu , and we could in future launch offense on it avoiding the tallest peaks of earth which currently give pak army cover in G-B.
If according to Simla agreement a defecto demilitarize zone establish in Siachen , was pak army than place soldier west of it ?? those area west of NJ9842 seems hostile too to maintain soldier without arctic suit.
