Recently huge defence deals have been announced, procurement from the US and also the Sub deal with China. There was a growing protest in Pakistan over the huge expenditure on defence while the general economy was in very bad shape. These protests had to be stopped so the Indian Bogey had to be brought forward.

That is the reason why we saw that immediately after the shooting of the shias in the bus, Paksitan was quick to blame RAW. The recent report of RAW having a budget of US $500 Million to destabilise Chinese Investment in Pakistan, also has to be seen in this context.

And now we see the Media in Pakistan is no longer questioning the exorbitant purchases. PA is the knight in shining armour once again.

They eat most of the budget ... run their own business to generate money, control the foreign policy .... basically prey on the Pakistani state.

That's a different matter. My point is, Indians seem to have a naive view that non-western nations will be on our side and that the west is the 'enemy'. Truth is, it is the nonwestern countries that repeatedly attack and try to destroy India. The west doesn't. They simply make it clear that if we're not on their side, then they won't be on ours. 1. Way too many baseless accusations about the US funding or supporting terrorism in India. The US foolishly funds Pakistan, which engages in terrorism against everyone ( inc. the USA & even Pakistan itself ). Some here seem to think the US is so clever that it must be behind everything for some sinister reason. Get over this paki-style paranoia, it doesn't suit enlightened nations like India or America, and it's ultimately self-defeating.

Occam's Razor suggests that the Obama admin has determined (naively, in my view) that compromise with some Islamist elements, in parallel with support for some Islamist countries is the best way to reduce the security threat against the US. The idea is that the root cause of jihad is a lack of jobs, stability, education etc. There is no plot to hold India down, this is what the "progressives" (leftists) who are now in power truly believe.

3. Progressives have internalized the idea that people only behave violently because they are oppressed and feel powerless. They simply do not understand that Jihadis mean what they say, because to them words have long since ceased to have meaning. To them "we will impose shariah over the world" is a cry for help. Frankly when i heard about his brother and uncle were killed by us, i thought this guy is going to be another Musharraf. But when i heard nawaz sharif had personally preferred him over two other senior eligible candidates for COAS, then i realised these two guys are on the same page. so far there are no indications that these two are not in the same page.

But there is no mention of Jammu and Kashmir being different from POK as per the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir.
