IAF jets scrambled towards Syrian aircrafts​

Israeli Air Force fighter jets were scrambled four times Friday morning towards Syrian aircrafts that closely approached the Israel-Syria border in the Golan Heights.

Syrian opposition sources reported Friday morning that the Syrian Air Force raided the village of Ghadir al Bustan, which is located in the vicinity of the cease-fire line in the southern Golan Heights. The Syrian jets, reportedly, used explosive barrels during the airstrike.

The IAF jets, which were launched from the Ramat David Air Force Base, were rushed towards the Syrian aircrafts armed with air-to-air missiles.

At a certain point, the Syrian jets were within a 2-3 kilometers distance of the Israeli border. The events all ended without any unusual occurrences, and the high level of alert along the Syrian border is maintained.

Such emergency IAF launches took place numerous times over the past few months, in order to verify that a Syrian pilot, who is battling his country's rebels, will not independently or by command continue on westward into Israel.

Meanwhile, Lebanese media outlets reported there is much movement by IAF aircrafts in the country's southern region.

There was a notable escalation in the Syrian arena in recent weeks, greatly due to Hezbollah operations in the area. On Wednesday, an IDF force spotted two armed men near the Golan border trying to place an explosive on site. The Israeli force opened fire and identified a hit.

A military source spoke to Ynet and confirmed that Hezbollah men did not cross the border into Israel, but only attempted to place an explosive along the border fence. "We are probably dealing with an attempted explosive (attack) led by Hezbollah. Two Hezbollah fighters were shot," the source said.

Last weekend, two rockets were fired towards an IDF station in Mount Hermon. There were no injuries in the event. It was initially speculated that the rockets were "leaked fire" from battles between the Syrian army rebels; however the possibility of the fire coming from Hezbollah was not excluded.

An explosive device detonated along Israel's border fence with Syria on Tuesday afternoon, the IDF said, in the area south of the Druze village of Majdal Shams. Four IDF soldiers were wounded in the blast, one is in serious condition, the others are in light to moderate condition.

The IDF has reportedly responded with artillery fire into Syrian-controlled territory, targeting Syrian military positions. According to the IDF, it fired Tamuz missiles and direct hits were confirmed.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the incident during a Likud meeting Tuesday and promised to respond.

"Recently, the border with Syria has become filled with jihadists and Hezbollah men which pose a new challenge for us to deal with. We managed to keep the peace along the Syrian border despite its on going civil war, but we will act firmly, if needed, to maintain Israel's security," Netanyahu said.

An initial military investigation showed that a bomb had detonated near an IDF patrol jeep traveling along the border. Last Friday an improvised explosive device was detonated in the same area, targeting an IDF force near the border with Lebanon as it was patrolling in the Shebaa Farms area.

The patrol, which included several reconnaissance vehicles, was hit by the IED, but no casualties were reported.

Israeli Jets Strike Syria – Killing 1, Wounding 7​

Israeli air strikes on Wednesday against Syrian military sites near the Golan Heights killed one person and wounded seven others, Syria's armed forces said, warning that the attacks endangered stability in the region.

An armed forces statement said the strikes targeted three sites near the town of Qunaitra.

It is periodically necessary for Israel to take "aggressive action" so that the quiet in the north will be maintained, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Wednesday just hours after the IAF hit targets in Syria in response to Tuesday's attack on an IDF jeep on the Golan Heights.

Netanyahu, speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting that was postponed from Sunday because of Purim, said that the targets hit belonged to Syrian elements who not only allowed the attack to take place, but assisted in it.

"Our policy is very clear," he said. "We strike those who strike us."

Netanyahu also said that Israel, to the best of its ability, consistently thwarts the transfer of weapons.'''

From the IDF:
The IDF targeted several Syrian army positions which aided and abetted the attack against IDF soldiers yesterday. Among the targets were: A Syrian army training facility, military headquarters, and artillery batteries.

We will not tolerate this threat against Israeli civilians or troops, we will fulfill our mission, prevent, protect and defend against hostilities from Syria.

Yes our spinless government might have supported Syria or other arab nations with concern to isreal , it is double standard vote bank policy because they can't beg for votes with minorities

IN DFI we need not bother about any vote bank ,may be in china if you write against govt you might be hanged in india we don't have such issue , we are her to give our view point & will continue no matter u like or don't like it
