China is superior to India in every conceivable way. Our military technology advances extremely fast. China is generations ahead of India's domestic production and on par with the best that India can buy in the international arms market.

China is inferior to Indian armed forces in every conceivable way. Your military technology has been stuck in the 1989 Tienamen time warp. The best China can do is attempt to copy obsolete Russia systems and you can't even do that right. You still have to steal spares, seek us out for technical cooperation, and can't even make your own jet engines.

China can give India a crushing blow that it will never recover from.

Only if you nuke it.

why that chopper was not shot down in first place, their was no emergency........ shooting down their chopper in our land would have send loud and clear massage and we are within our right to defend our terroritial soverinity.

Well we still dont know the reason for the incursion. There are a lot of things to be taken into consideration. We cant just jump into a war. The situation might escalate.

May be they are trying to provoke us into starting war. If we shoot down the helis they will show it as a reason to start a war and can escalate into a full scale war. I think there is a procedure in place to follow in case of intrusions. One, it will have to be intercepted by an fighter A/C and force it to land in Indian air base and find out the real intention of the heli, so that we can evaluate the situation and can take future discourse which can be warning them from doing such intrusion into our space and that next time, if repeated, will be shot down without warning.

IA could have filed warnning shots at the helicopter, it appears every one (from our side) is scare of escalation, but it is bound to happen, China is doing all things on purpose.

I agree that we are not ready for a war as our AF squadron strenght is too low and there are similar defficiencies in other two armed forces, but we should fasten the process of modernization of our forces and also we need to boost our indigenous capability. Also we should be ready for any possibility and never undermine the seriousness of this whole issue of repeated intrusions.

What we can do is at least put some of our air defense system in Ladakh. So that any violation of our air space we just need to shoot down those Chinese choppers. If we keep on ignoring these incidents it will give wrong signals to the Chinese.
