India's secrets are in Guangdong

A successful Chinese hacking attack has caused what is arguably the biggest security breach in India with systems of hundreds of key DRDO and other security officials being compromised and leading to the leak of sensitive files related to the cabinet committee on security (CCS).
The other stolen files recovered so far belong to the governments of the United States, Russia, and South Korea.

The leak was detected in the first week of March as officials from India's technical intelligence wing, National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO), working with private Indian cyber security experts cracked open a file called "army cyber policy". The file had been attached to hacked email accounts of senior DRDO officials that quickly spread through the system in a matter of seconds.

They discovered thousands of top secret CCS files, and other documents related to surface-to-air missile and radar programmes from DRDL, a DRDO laboratory based in Hyderabad, among many other establishments. Even the e-tickets of the scientists who had travelled to Delhi in the last week of February were found on the server.

Traced to server:
*Systems of hundreds of key DRDO and other security officials compromised

*Sensitive files related to the cabinet committee on security (CCS) leaked

*Thousands of top secret CCS files and documents related to surface-to-air missile and radar programmes from defence research & development lab discovered

*All sensitive files stolen from infected systems uploaded on a server in China's Guangdong province

This shows how poor we are in data protection. :shocked::shocked:

I used to think Chinese were good at hardware copycats, and manufacturing by reverse engineering only, but now ooops cyber attacks on home domains of IT giant India!!

Are Chinese invincibly nibbling away every field?

what i am saying is that our guys (hackers) are doing the same thing against PRC.

Going by recent developments all major Chinese secrets will have at least its roots with the Ruskies....
And Russian reaction is inline with Indian mentality " why use manpower for things which can be done by money power".
Now don't complain about inflated defence deals and ad-hoc increase in contract prices for Ruskie maal.

Such hue and cry is an old tactic. They could very well be upping false info and crying to make it look original.or it may all be true, one can never tell.

one shouldn't loose sleep over such news.

Hopefully our folks are as effective as we want them to be. But whatever little i have know is india is better in post-mortem job i.e. tracing and tracking after the breach has happened rather than actual prevention when it comes to cyber-security/warfare.

sea food let people smart, Many seaside cities have tradition cheating, and the most smart guys are in Xiamen and Taiwan,Guangdong still lag behind, they can only hack India, but Xiamen,Taiwan have been inviting many new solutions and hacking all over the world, Guangong have to pick up very fast to catch up.
Xiamen is very good place, seafood, fresh oxygen and good English speaking people.
