I was desperately avoiding this thread because i know this will happen but cant bare to hear it.

Doing stupid stuff like taxing industries that are on the verge of turning sick should be a punishable crime by law. Some one must put a case on pranab mukerjeee. If your government is corrupt as hell, why tax people so much why not leave that money with them, atleast they will buy a car and help the economy compared to governemt losing the money in transit.

If that causes inflation pass the FDI on retail fast so we can improve the supply chain of food.

Ya the problem is that untaxed money may lead to more consumerism and cause inflation, when the people start buying stuff with the extra money. So they keep increasing interest rates and burdening industries instead of improving the supply chain for food. This why our industry has slowed down to 6% because of exhaustion and not because of world economic crisis. Everything from Aviation to Textiles is dieing, literally and this old socialist fool is still taxing them.

ya mate, I know... And the previous growth rate was not due to this Stupid CONs but due to the strong foundation left by the previous govt....


If we had maintained our investment on the Infrastructure and worked for loosening up of the bureaucracy, we would have seen a double digit growth now... But these CONs came along and threw away all our tax on useless subsidies only to tax us more in return and the Middle class here is too crazy to think they are good for us

As the saying goes, "If you owe the bank a 1000$ the bank owns you, iif you owe the bank a billion$ you own the bank". May be we should borrow like hell and develop like Europe and then play the default game. If we owe the banks a mad sum of money, then probably we can default on interest. Who cares to give up a few subsidies once we are developed.
