    India's covert war against Pakistan

Since India's political leadership was against creation of Pakistan they had started destabilizing Pakistan right in the beginning. This was done by complicating ongoing issues and creating new problems for Pakistan as a newly born state.
The major issue created was accession of state of Kashmir by coercion. In 1947 Indian government coerced Raja Hari Singh, Hindu ruler of Muslim majority state of Kashmir to accede the state to India and landed Indian troops in Srinagar to quell local uprising which resulted into 1948 war between India and Pakistan. Although Pakistan was not in a position to fight a war but to defend its legal stance on Kashmir and stop India from annexing Kashmir by force it was compelled to use its armed forces to stop India's advancing troops. In 1948, Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India took the issue of Kashmir war to the United Nations (UN). After an intense debate, United Nations Security Council (UNSC) passed necessary resolutions as a result of which war ended and a road map for resolution of Kashmir issue emerged based on UNSC decision to hold a plebiscite to determine Kashmiris' will whether they wanted the state to accede to India or Pakistan. Nehru accepted all UNSC resolutions and stated that future of Kashmir's accession will be decided through a plebiscite. Later, Nehru rejected the UNSC Resolutions and through political manoeuvring India declared Kashmir as its integral part. Subsequently India failed all UN efforts to hold a plebiscite in Kashmir.
This resulted into Kashmiris' frustration and in 1965 they started guerilla war to get freedom from India. Consequently, blaming that Pakistan was supporting the guerilla operations India attacked Pakistan and both countries fought a war in September 1965. The war ended in a stalemate. This unwanted war was thrust upon Pakistan to break its integrity but India badly failed due to heroic performance of Pakistan's armed forces. However, this war adversely impacted on Pakistan's economy being a smaller country.
In 1970 India exploited Pakistan's internal issue of transition of power after general elections and incited and trained Bengali nationalists for launching guerilla war for separation from Pakistan. India covertly supported that guerilla war for nine months. Then in November 1971, she attacked the then East Pakistan in support of separatist guerillas and dismembered Pakistan. After end of the war Indra Ghandi, the then Prime Minister of India stated," Today India has buried the two nation theory in the Bay of Bengal forever." This statement of Indra Ghandi was an ample proof that India was against creation of Pakistan and it was always working for ending Pakistan's existence.
Since 1998, knowing that Pakistan as a nuclear power cannot be eliminated by use of force, India is out to damage Pakistan's integrity by a covert war using sponsored terrorism acts as its hidden weapon. In this regard India is exploiting Kashmiris freedom struggle continuing since 1989 and global war on terror (GWOT) being fought in Afghanistan. To prove its allegations that Pakistan sponsors terrorism across Line of Control (LOC) and in Afghanistan, Indian intelligence agency (RAW) covertly engineers terrorist acts against the US and western targets in Kashmir and Afghanistan. Such Indian designs have been unearthed by the recent revelations made by Adrian Levy and Catherine Scott-Clark, in their book titled, "The Meadow Kashmir 1995 Where the Terror began," released in March 2012 (UK). The authors have claimed that July 1995 kidnapping of six western tourists, (two Britons, two Americans, one German and one Norwegian) in Anantnag district of Indian held Kashmir and subsequent murder of four hostages (earlier one escaped and another was beheaded) was carried out by a group of Kaskmiri militants, who worked for Indian Army. But it was all along blamed by India that Mujahideen supported by Pakistani intelligence had abducted the US and western tourists. The book claims that the militant organization, Al-Faran was ready to free the four hostages for money but deal was sabotaged by Indian establishment. Later Azad Nabi (pro-government militant) bought four hostages from Al-Faran for four lakh rupees and shot them on 24 December 1995. The hostages were killed twenty days after Indian security forces killed three Al-Faran militants and captured two more, who, were responsible for abduction. In this book compiled after years of investigation and research, the authors have proved with credible evidence that Indian Establishment was behind this brutal act and even failed the talks and got the hostages finally murdered just to put blame on Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism.
This book should act as an eye opener for the US and western countries and Pakistan to visualize how India uses its intelligence agencies to create situations by engineering terrorist acts against western targets with the objective to blame Pakistan for the ultimate aim of getting it declared as a state sponsoring terrorism. In fact the book proves that India as a state is sponsoring terrorism in occupied Kashmir and it also indicates that she may be sponsoring terrorist acts in Afghanistan, FATA, Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan. India's involvement in Balochistan is indicated by the findings of the Judicial Commission formed in Pakistan for the recovery of missing persons. Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, the Head of the Commission, addressing a news conference at Quetta stated that the foreign intelligence agencies wanted to deteriorate the situation of Balochistan in order to destabilize Pakistan. He added that out of 460 missing persons from all over Pakistan 42 bodies of missing persons were found from Balochistan, and claimed that foreign intelligence agencies were involved in the crime. He further said that the list also contained the names of those living abroad and also those who have been involved in terrorism-related cases. He further claimed that some of the missing persons were in Afghanistan and they could not be recovered because they were in US controlled territory. In the light of these finding of the Commission and revelations of the above mentioned book it can be safely corroborated that Indian intelligence agency (RAW) is involved in engineering abductions and murders in Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan by using dissident Baloch and other elements. In the scenario discussed above while the US and western countries should be conscious of India using state terrorism as a policy to pursue its national objectives, Pakistan's political and military leadership should also be vigilant and monitor such Indian activities particularly with respect to Balochistan as India might be covertly working for harming Pakistan's integrity once again as was done by her in 1971.

If a covert war has been going on this long as the author states,we should hopefully see some results soon

Frankly, the author is living in denial, and this article is full of distorted facts and made up fictions.

For example, the Kashmir issue was not a local uprising, but an invasion, which included non-Kashmiris as well. The authors has conveniently avoided addressing the UN resolution on withdrawal of Pakistani backed combatants, but goes on to talk about plebiscite. He also doesn't know how to spell Gandhi. Kashmir's freedom struggle is cited to be suppressed since 1989. Is it a coincidence that the USSR withdrew from Afghanistan in 1989? Adrian Levy and Catherine Scott-Clark - who are they?

    Load of rubbish.

It is a very good sign that the Pakistanis are living in denial. As long as they remain in this state, the self destruction of Pakistan will continue.

This is pure psyhops & propaganda funded by Pakis. Stinking BS. Funniest part is the author is citing the Judicial commission's findings which are again based onjust conjectures no evidence or logical analysis.

This might be the policy of the current powers under the notion of "divide and rule". While India and Pakistan are bussy fighting each other, current power would sleep better knowing that no challange would come from these two countries. Under the same notion, they are trying to create similar situation between India and China. Beware of this.

Grammatically, the article sounds as if it is written by a teenager!

Just because someone is able to pass off as a journalist with a third rate news source does not make the source legit, or even any different than a fanboy spewing dribble on a forum!

I have always maintained, there are certain news sources we should not be posting on the DFI which promote the ISI propaganda.
