Any idea what tank that was? Turkey has quite a diverse range of tanks. From upgraded Pattons and Leopard Is to Leopard IIs. But that is a sobering display of what a simple laser guided ATGM can do.
Tanks r obliterated by by atgms easily
Hope Indian army stops wasting billions in russian tanks.

IAF did eventually accept the Tejas and we are in for large scale deployments of the same, but Army is proving to be especially difficult.
And this obstinacy is going to cost us the race wrt to MBTs.

It must be the 3 man crew vs the 4 man crew thing that I think is why IA is treating Arjun like the unwanted step child.
Arjun should have been named Karna instead.

And as if on cue the army released the FRCV requirements(which fit T-14s down to a tee) after the T-14s were paraded around enough, even though the FMBT was in sort of a hiatus up until that point.

We are always tough on DRDO and what have you, but this slight was like if the IA spat on DRDO's face in broad daylight.
You can't help but feel sorry for our DPSUs and us the taxpayers.
How are we going to recoup our investment, time and faith in our indigenous capacity?

There has to be a far sighted approach to Arjun, we cannot just depend on the benevolence of the Russians, as they are proving to be especially exploitative in almost all areas.

IA should just stop dragging its feet, follow the Merkava model and induct Arjuns and continously improve it with iterations of Mk 1s, 2s and 3s.
Yes, Tejas got induction in the IAF but Marut was dumped in favor of jaguars. If Marut MK2 was developed, tejas wouldn't have seen such delay. I hope our forces get the pointp buy and support indigenous.

Had we invested in this Tank,we could have bought ourselves some 4000 tanks and exported a few hundreds of it,that would have brought a lot of foreign exchange and expertise but :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
The Russians did not allow Tank EX to materialse. So much for "blood brothers", we are nothing but cash cows for them. :frusty:

Just use the stupid ruskies till you can and for your benefit.

We need to veer sharply away from the Ruskies, they have proven to be absolutely exploitative.

Typical socialists.

Yep. It will do against Aks, but should you encounter technicals with M2s or Gods forbid, DShKs, RIP
The problem for UNFIL missions is that they are facing threats that all have those heavier weapons. Since Trump cut the UN budget they are withdrawing the nice equipment and leaving them with turds.

This border is quite peaceful as compared to other deployments in Africa, so there is no need for any heavy armour.
I also think that UN force is there just as an observer.
