SIALKOT: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Sunday said if India tried to impose war on Pakistan, heavy losses will be inflicted on India, “which she will remember for decades,” reported Radio Pakistan.

Talking to journalists during his visit to Kundunpur village along the working boundary in Sialkot, Asif said cowardly acts by Indian forces had “strengthened our forces’ determination to defend our motherland.”

“The armed forces will defend every inch of their motherland at every cost.”

Kundunpur was among the villages badly affected by the recent firing and shelling from Indian border forces along the working boundary.

Read: At least 11 killed as Indo-Pak border troops exchange fire.

The defence minister said India’s “real face had been exposed as it was supporting terrorism in Pakistan and creating tension on borders through unprovoked firing along the working boundary and the Line of Control.”

Asif went on to say that India is diverting attention from its “internal failures” by creating tension on borders.

Condemning the recent ceasefire violations by Indian troops along the LoC, Asif said the “sacrifices of our martyrs will not go waste.”

The minister said Pakistan had proof of India’s interference in Pakistan, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will present the evidence at the upcoming United Nations General Assembly meeting in September.

“The prime minister will also present these proofs to the US leadership during his visit to America in October this year.”

Asif later visited the residences of those killed and injured by Indian firing in Sialkot’s working boundary area.

The minister also announced assistance of Rs500,000 for the families of the deceased, while Rs100,000 each was announced for those injured.

indias armed land forces is centralised. they do have strong points to the chinese border and the pakistani loc. but india has not got a big presence to the international border with pakistan this is because they is very little infrastructure there. where as pakistan has a large population which borders india and also the bulk of the Pakistani army is focused on india and primarily in kashmir. so they are more prepared in they sense they will know when you will attack and will know well in advance and they to can more more forces to reinforce the border. this too was demonstrated in 2008. india is not stupid to go to war. seriously! even id india does a small thrust attack. they will be consequences and investors will leave india and take there money with them. in fear of a full scale war and potential sanctions

Where did you get this idea that indian army is centralised in deployment? just curious....

Let me try to rebut most of your claims...

Indian army is not centralised in deployment. India army along with para military(BSF&SSB) has a large presence in international borders, if that was not the case you will not be hearing about tangos getting eliminated on a weekly basis. little infrastructure on border areas from indian side is a understatement. irrespective of how prepared baki army is, when india wants to attack it will. Point to be noted is that india will not be attack first, only retaliate.

Investors leaving india because of war is a myth, best period of growth was after kargil. you can check the numbers. i don't think sanctions will apply for india, as it is highly unlikely that india will attack first. India will only respond.

if there are no consequences for going to war why don't you just go to war and get it over and done with? your army it twice the size of pakistans. the question i should have asked is what is it that you will lose as a consequence of such an action? do you think foxcon wants to build it's stuff in india if there is a war going on. investors are just moving to india. any uncertainties will result in investors going to trusted investable countries instead such as china.

Dude, stick to one line of argument first. you start the argument with armed land forces and now you show a pic of air bases.

official govt policy is that there will be no first attack on pak, only retaliation. India doesn't need to go to war with pak, they have been on self-destruct mode for past 11 years. Why waste money on war with pak, we can just sit back relax and enjoy the show. in the mean time every tango attack is only helping building a case of rapid modernisation of our armed forces and security apparatus, the more the bakis continue to play the game the stronger we get. sometimes i feel like thanking pakis for their role in modernisation of our forces, if not for pakis our politicians will never be spending enough on armed forces.

you have to realise that investors are coming here mainly because india has no interest in going to war.
.Even if there is war, and assuming investors leave india they will move to south east asian countries and definitely not china.

i am assuming you love your motherland china, stick to topic and don't bring china into every topic.

i can only find images with airforce bases not army bases. the airforce closely resembles the army in terms of its base locations.

i know a guy who said that in 1990 and he is still waiting for the show.:clock::daru:
also if you policy says they will be no first strike on pakistan then why do shiv sena wants to attack pakistan?

    http://www.firstpost.com/india/indi...each-pakistan-a-lesson-shiv-sena-2276624.html

really! you know they will move to the east of india. ok hypothetically if all goes pear shaped and pakistan fires nukes at you will those investors be safe in the east of india or out of india? also investors dont want to risk any damage to their investments so they will move to countries like china.

yes i do love my motherland, but its not china. and no it's not pakistan either. hint look at the flag.

HAHA... you wanted to win 71 but could not and surrendered. You started but could not end.

In 65 we won 3 times the territory and had 80% ammo left. You had just 20% ammo left. This means a Indian Strategic victory.Trying to win the war you ended up defending Lahore and ceasefire saved your ass or we could have seen mass Paki surrender even before 71.You again started but could not end.

In Kargil you again started but ended up losing 4000 Paki soldiers rotting on our land. You BEGGED to India for ceasefire and even China told you to back off and respect LoC. Also US told your PM to back off or let India humiliate you again.

Start again and we would end it.... we love to bury Pakis on our land.

shiv sena has no say in foreign policy matters, it is just a regional party. Shiv sena has no relevance in scheme of things, but their hatred against your beloved bakistan is justified. you guys almost tried to destroy their beloved city twice.Mumbai always bounces back, i always admire that city .Shiv sena will keep making such statements until bakistan is completely destroyed and then some.

i have been watching Pakistan self-destruction show for over a decade now, it is already on. wake up and notice what is going on there. on one hand you say 70000 people died due to terrorism and on other hand you ask where is the show. Take your head out of the sand, you should be able to see it.

dude you are over estimating the impact of paki nuke on india, india has sufficient land mass and diversity to survive a nuke attack. i am assuming you are not a chess player, there is no scenario where bakis nuke india and still survive as a nation.

God save DFI from such eggsplurts! You do know that Aircrafts are called so 'coz they fly and can fly hundreds of kilometers?
Or if you are little more mature, you do have the a idea of war-time forward air bases?

Well, anyway, if I hope the Pakis have the same amkunt if wisdom and think in the similar lines, though I doubt that, so that our biys can whup their asses good if any action is called for ever.
