Defence IQ is pleased to unveil details of Soldier Modernisation India 2011, taking place 4th-5th October in New Delhi. This conference is an unbeatable opportunity to engage with senior military and government experts on India's Futuristic Infantry Soldier as a System (FINSAS) programme.

The Armed Forces of India have begun a massive campaign to improve the capabilities of their Infantry soldiers - the FINSAS programme aims to improve the overall capabilities of the dismounted soldier through a high level of technology and protection, particularly in relation to an increase in the situational awareness, lethality and sustainability of the soldier.

Soldier Modernisation India 2011 will give you access to the key decision makers in the Indian Army and F-INSAS programme, as well as leading international programme managers, military commanders and industry experts, who will explain the requirements the Indians have for the modernisation of their forces, whilst detailing the procurement processes involved.

With India's defence market being the fastest growing in the world, Soldier Modernisation India 2011 is an ideal opportunity to engage in dialogue with the Indian military on their FINSAS requirements and increase collaboration with participating Indian military, government and industry representatives.

Don't miss out on this chance to seek joint ventures, engage with those writing the tenders, and remain front-of-mind for providing modernisation solutions to one of the most significant armies in the world.

FIVE reasons not to miss Soldier Modernisation India 2011:

1.Get face time with key officials responsible for the FINSAS program in India and get the very latest on their requirements and future soldier projects
2.Gain insight into the C4I technological requirements of the Indian Army and learn how your products and services can be adapted to fit with FINSAS requirements
3.Hear more presentations on the Indian military's Soldier Modernisation program than any other event, providing you with an unequalled opportunity to gauge the market opportunities for your company and learn about future developments in the FINSAS program.
4.Present your technologies and services to this rapidly growing soldier market, this event has been designed as a two way exchange of information between military and industry
5.Network with key decision makers in the Indian Army responsible for the procurement and supply of soldier systems for the Indian military
Key topics will include:

C4I Capability Enhancements
Integrated Portable Power Solutions
Achieving Data Connectivity And Interoperability
Increased Soldier Sustainability
Improving Soldier Situational Awareness
Improving Night Vision And Sensor Capabilities
Advancements In Local Defence Industry Capabilities
Equipment And Operational Training

why do keep crying?? we cannot turn into a superpower overnight, besides, we dont have a proper military specific industry in our country.... TATA has to do its jobs before it can commit such huge tasks... secondly govt puts a lot of restrictions in the process of R&D in both DRDO and projects like these... technically, Indian and Chinese scientists are of the same caliber.. only their innovativeness in the defense industry is tapped differently... just think urself.. why international companies come to India??? Its not only cost efficient , it also excels at R&D. I know you would be surprised because our media is only interested in showing the failures of drdo ... nobody shows the struggle they go through to invent something

Again what is your point ? you are repeating everything known to everybody. finsas is not a new project, it has been going on for years still no prototypes.

they are supposed to deploy divisions of F-INSAS config by 2012 and they are busy conducting seminars... they have already lowered down the standards of first phase of F-INSAS from altogether a new soldier to modified soldier and i think they will miss this deadline too....

This is ridiculous, by the time it is actually inducted, it would have already become obsolete.
