India & Pak have been at loggerheads since 47. The reason is not the partition but the ham handed it way it was conducted by the departing British.
Four generations have been at it since 47 yet we stand at the same place.
We cut our expenses to buy weapons . At the cost of creating jobs for our own we create & secure jobs in the West, in China, in N Korea, Israel and so on.
Pak choses to cherry pick the region of Kashmir. There is no instance of a region of an erstwhile Princely state going to one nation & the rest to another. This shall never happen.
It has to all of J&K or nothing. Obviously all of J&K is not an option to Pak.
The UN resolution is little else than an advisory & cannot be enforced.
Water is at the root of the Pak love for Kashmir, after all almost every drop of water in Pak flows from Kashmiri rivers.
The IWT has held since 1960 , even through wars . There is no reason for Pak to feel insecure on this, surely India can guarantee this also provided Pak can build up the courage to accept realities & see the futility of its chosen path. Even the loss of half its nation has not jolted Pak to deviate from its suicidal path.
Nukes when held by both adversaries matter little, neither do their numbers. In any case those who wield power seldom flaunt it. Pak need to stop prefixing ' nuclear' to references to itself.
The world has moved on, we remain where we were 68 years ago.
Don't we get it ?
