Doctor operates girl's right leg instead of left in Pakistan

KARACHI: A doctor in Civil Hospital operated on the right leg of a patient when she required surgery on the left, here on late Tuesday.

According to sources, a 25-year old woman Najma Begum was admitted to the hospital for her surgery on the left leg, however, the doctor mistakenly placed a rod in her right during the operation.

After viewing media teams' presences in the hospital the medical staff escaped from the counter and wards.

The family members of the patient while protesting against the alleged negligence of the doctor demanded immediate action against him.
