The Donetsk People’s Republic has received 36 units of firefighting equipment from the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations.

“We are very grateful to Russia for its assistance. This is just a part of what we are going to receive in May,” – the DPR Minister for Emergency Situations Alexei Kostrubitsky said.

According to him, the units of firefighting equipment were distributed among Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka, Torez, Amrosiyevka and Yenakiyevo.

It is worth noting that Lugansk region has never had some of the things when it was under Ukrainian rule.

“There are some unique units of firefighting equipment which we have never received before. The LPR Minister for Emergency Situations Sergei Ivanushkin put a lot of effort into the arrival of this equipment. As far as I know, more units will be delivered to the republic,” – the LPR head Igor Plotnitsky said.

“We received a fifty-meter track-mounted platform. We’ve never had it before. So, a fire on the 16th floor is no longer a problem for the LPR Ministry for Emergency Situations. Now, we have life nets and many other things which, so to speak, are not a rarity in the civilized world. It is not clear what the Ukrainian authorities have been doing for more than 20 years. To be honest, we’re happy that we’re keeping up with the times. We’re happy that we are cared about. We gladly receive such gifts,” – Plotnitsky added.

He noted that such equipment can be found only in big cities of Ukraine.

“Not everyone can boast that they have such equipment. However, now we can say ,“Yes, we have it!”,” – the LPR head said.
